Honest curiosity here. The article says Activision has been cracking down on their developers to cut costs in any way possible. Single player campaigns can be quite expensive, so might this be a big reason Treyarch left one out of Black Ops 4?
But it’s for the children! Because you know kids are really going to want to play a visual novel anyway...
There will be content updates like ESO, and there’s absolutely no reason they couldn’t add NPC’s to give the game some life. A few robots and holotapes don’t make the world feel any less empty, and the few encounters with real people certainly aren’t a substitute from scripted NPC’s at all.
To retain ownership. Until ownership laws catch up in the digital age, I’ll be sticking with physical when at all possible.
The zombies and multiplayer are staples. The only thing new is Battle Royale, and from what I’ve read, that was infinitely cheaper to produce than a costly single player campaign. With as much money and as large a team Treyarch has, they could’ve done all four. That at least would’ve given some viable justification to the micros as that would’ve been adding a mode instead of replacing one.
Everyone knew the micro transactions were coming. Besides the long history of them in COD, COD points were a preorder bonus in every version. In fact the only difference between the deluxe and enhanced deluxe editions was the amount of free COD points. Sorry, but Chris is right.
If I were a betting man, I’d guess it’s probably because you’ll be able to use your horse from the story in the online portion once it launches.
Way to blow the story for those who just got the game off PS+!
You think multiplayer in a video game is socializing, much less properly?? You sound sheltered. “Socializing” on PSN/XBL is not a substitute for the very different conditions of real life or the work force.
OT: Has anyone in the US seen a physical edition on Amazon yet? I want to preorder from them, even if it doesn’t give me the 20% discount for being a prime member.
I’d rather see those resources spent on new entries. RE7 and Monster Hunter Worlds were fantastic. I’m sure DMC 5 will be great too. I get the need for these remasteres/remakes for the revenue stream, but I really wish Capcom would put more effort into new games.
There are two more that definitely need to be on this list. Elder Scrolls Online for the Emporer trophy, possibly the most BS trophy of all time. I’d also nominate Wolfenstein 2 for the absolutely retarded Mein Leben trophy. I’d give an honorable mention to Super Meat Boy too.
One would think you’d have enough sense to understand PS4 would also have backwards compatibility if not for the complexity of the Cell. With PS4 getting back to a standard X86, it’s all but a formality that backwards compatibility will be standard for both next gen consoles.
Need some Xanax pal? Everything’s going to be ok. Take deep breaths.
Dude, this is the third time you’ve posted that stupid survey in this thread. Don’t you have a life?
No way! Missle Command is the best game of all time. 😂😂😂
So you’d pass on Sony’s amazing exclusive games over the likes of crossplay? 😂😂😂
We’re at the point where game design is being heavily influenced by a perceived need to be politically correct, and it’s hurting free creativity.
He never said it would run on switch “as is”. There would almost assuredly be significant downgrades across the board to get this running.
