Unacceptable! After 2 delays and all these promises of the free PSN+ version with each delay, how can they all all sudden do a 180 and back out of their words? I knew something was fishy when they were using the server overload as an excuse to not release the game and then proceed to give the game away for free in the EU/Asia as a packed-in game.
Canceling my PSN+ comes Jun when it expired since Sony releases single player games anyways. What happened to trust and integrity? ...
TWD is not $60 and you can buy each episode separately at $5 a pop or $25 for a season.
And please don't compare Apple to orange. People already know what TWD is and reviews on that game are based on how it plays and how the story is pertaining to and comparing it to the type of genre it is.
For The Order, from day one, Sony promised a third person action shooter that incorporates cinematics and some QTE. What we didn't know was how over abundant reli...
No I won't. That is why I have a Gamefly account for situation like this. My copy was already sent and I will be playing the Order this week. I am a gamer and play almost everything but some game just ain't worth paying $60 like Ryse, Alien Colonial Marines, Hyrule Warriors, and the Orders.
This game is getting hammered and hopefully R@D can take all these criticism and improve in either a sequel or a new IP next round. Insomniac also released Fuse to a mediocre 62 meta scores as well but came back strong and corrected their wrong doings with Sunset Overdrive. I have confident in R@D can do the same.
Another great review and if you notice, the word 'boring" is used in a lot of these reviews to describe how the game play. It is ultimately what counts in our enjoyment of videogames and no matter how lushes those graphics are, without the meat and potatoes of gameplay, a game is nothing more than just a graphics showcase and nothing more.
Having said that, my copy of the game from Gamefly should be in the mail tomorrow and I still plan to play it sometime this week...

Wow, you just didn't?! So was Ryse also a unplayable broken game as well?
I am pretty sure you and many weren't saying that when that game was released and scores that were even lower than a 4 were posted for that game. Now the tone has changed. Wow, some of you people have more faces than I do.

It's the only new game releases for the remainder of Feb so it would be a surprise it didn't top the chart for its first week, bad review scores or not. No surprise there. The test is in its legs and we will see in its second week. i do expect it to have decent legs though as there just arn't that many AAA games getting release at this time of the year.
Sony's CEO Kaz Harai already explained that situation to its fans over at twitter
CEO Kaz Hirai @KazHiraiCEO
We promised that Driveclub PS+ Edition would be a special version of Driveclub with less cars, and we kept that promise. 0 is less than 50!

But hey, we at least get daily screenshots of the game in 1080p...
That is not always the case. Broken games at launch can be fixed fixed with patches. A few framerate hiccups and some screen tearing and even online having issues at launch like GTAV and Halo MCC can be fixed with later patches. Even the perfect TLOU has a potential game breaking "save bug" that causes many PS3 owners to loose the first 2 hours of game progress are are not counted in for the overall scores and it was fixed later on with patches and everything was back to normal.
Yea, I think it is just fraction war myself because that can be easily done for everyone without having to go through the PSN or Live online game servers; which requires of course online subs to play.
It must have been a mistake. I don't think it can be done without the online subscription. I think MS and/or Sony have to allow this before it can come to fruition and some kind of adjustment to net code is needed for that to happen. For the tech savvy people out there, how can this even be possible?
There is another option. Just rent the game if you have the option. I already have and should be playing it tomorrow.
If you like to try a game and don't want to pay full price for it, there is always a way.
This game is just getting blasted from left to wright and everyone keep saying it is too much "hand holding" and not enough freedom to the palyer. Hope this teach Ready Dawn a lesson for their next game.
It is no different t...
In other news, The producers of Superman 64 also think it should score a 50 too instead of a 20% overall at metacritics.
In all fairness, he is just marketing and saying good things for his game so there is nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, most reviewers don't feel that way.
Trying to capture that faster cinematic feel of 24fps at 2x.
Lol, it is an error. It should read 30fps.
Renting is also an option. Mine was shipped from Gamefly on Friday and I should get it tomorrow. Can't wait to play it. If I like it after the playthrough, might get it used in a later time when it is cheap. I got a dead Rising 3 and AC Black Flag for like $20 a piece from Gamefly used game sales on about 4 months after those games has been released.
The year is still young but so far, it should be considered the biggest flop as far as AAA games as it sure ain't Evolve. But there are potential challengers later in the year so we will see. The three games that I can see that could challenge the throne is Fable Legends, Battlefield Hardline, and the next Assassin's Creed.
Nice objectivity. You used Kotaku and the 1/5 review from digital trend to blame the media while omitting media sites like the 95/100 score from Gaming Trend and of course the 85/100 scores from Dualshockers.
As a matter of fact, if you are going to write about a blog like this and trying to be objective, instead of quoting only the media that gave bad ratings to the game, you should also do the same and give us a few of the quotes from pro reviews as well.

Digitalraptor,
You said:
"You mention "legit" reviewers, but what makes them legit? Go on. Because they work for a site that is more well-known? Many of them still manage to purport a double standard for a game that deserves none of it, so how is that "legit"?"
If you are questioning the legitimacy of sources, big or small, then why are you questioning the Yahoo's legitimacy and not gamespresso? Is a smaller, unknown ...
He also recommend throwing in a pair of dark shades, a leather jacket while playing this cool game.
It is just a score just like like Ryse with its many low scores from reviewers, ultimately it is the individual that decides what is good or bad. There is no need to attack those negative reviewers' opinions of the game and also not being critical of these few high review scores at the same time. It is all an opinion and that is all it is.
