Yes, the QTEs are still there for executions... but that goes for a lot of games. It looks to me like the actual combat is going to be fun and varied.... plus those visuals!!

Voice recognition? Yeah. IR blaster... I doubt it.
The best thing about Xbox's voice recognition is that you can tune it so that when you say "Xbox, On", it turns on your TV, your receiver, your Xbox, and anything else that you want. Basically, it activates your whole media setup, which is amazing.

Because for the past few months I've read nothing but glowing appraisals. I find it hard to believe that up to this point everyone who has gotten their hands on it is full of S#it.

nah, I'm just entrenched in the service. My gamerscore, my profile... I've been Killing Machine since I beta tested the service in 2001. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some sort of emotional attachment.
I mean, I'm 23. I was 11 in 2001. That means I've been "killing machine" for more than half my life. There are very few things in my life that I can safely say have been consistent for that long.

Yeah, it's painful watching people at E3/Gamescom/Pax play... I just wanna jump through the screen, kick them in the face, and grab the controller.
Every time I see this game I get the impression that it's so bland. Obviously it's ported from the PC/previous gen console versions, but still. Yuk. After seeing demoes for BF4 and Titanfall, it's hard to take this game seriously.
But then it's free, so you can't really complain.

I'm building on it, but at the moment I have two Cerwin Vega XLS-28 towers and an SVS PB1000 sub, the towers being powered by my Yamaha RX-A830 AV receiver. She kicks out some beautiful sound :)
