Awesome news... next up, pulling the tape from hotchips off the corner that gpu and accounting for the missing transistors....
dGPU? :)
The tables are set to turn in a big way when the AMD nda deadline hits.
@eonjay
KZ demo revealed the Ps4 cpu clock to be set at 1.6ghz. 2ghz rumor turned out to be dev kits.
Lol, thank you! Put the blocker on any pathetic attempts to spin this as a "180".
But again, my main argument is completely ignored.
With move, eyetoy, and a headset, none of which are included with the console, all 3 will slice the userbase into users who have no peripherals, users who have one of them, and users who have a few of them... the ones without anything being the largest group. So, do you really expect any mainstream developers to actually get behind any of it?
If this headset came with every ps4, it would be entirely different...
Awesome! I like how they aren't charging full price. I'll definitely be grabbing this, barring bad reviews of course.
Where did I say that I wasn't excited bout the prospects? You're putting words in my mouth...
"Don't get me wrong, a VR headset could be cool. "
That's as close as I came to even remotely broaching the subject of my personal interest.
You completely ignored my points, including the pervading point that this wont revolutionize anything if its just one in a sea of unadopted peripherals.
Occulus on PC,...
Lol. This guy is like me... doesn't seem to care that much about the details. Just want's to get drunk and beat up his friends in KI. Having a blast playing games.
Makes me excited!
@abz
As usual, you don't read. Or if you do, you do your best not to understand.
MS already stated that every single game running in the Xbox booth was running natively on the hardware.
Outside the Xbox booth, Microsoft has no say on what hardware gets used. It only makes sense to have them running on PCs... since both games are being developed on PC, and in the case of Battlefield, with PC as the lead platform.
Look at t...
Love how they are amping up the audio processors. I read somewhere, and this might have been a type... that it supports 19.5 surround sound. WTF? he means 9.5... right?? 19 channels... lol.
Anyways, definitely validates my new stereo equipment. My Xbox is gonna sing!
MS has some sort of VR headset in the works, but apparently its more akin to Google Glass, which is augmented reality, rather.
Either way, I'm just calling hypocrisies where I see them.
The tech has a lot of potential... but so does the Kinect. And, as with the Kinect, there is nothing you can point to anything that actually proves it will have any application in real hardcore gaming. These things need the opportunity to grow, for developers to learn, bef...
Awesome news. I never get much use out of either, unless I'm a gunner on a chopper, or decide to hop in a jet only to crash it a few minutes later... but it always annoyed me when I would get killed, and the killcam would be wayyy up in the sky.
This will increase realism, and definitely piss off a few chopper pilots.
Makes no sense to me.
Genuine, fully supported motion controls are a gimmick, but strapping a screen to your face is innovation?
supplementing/complimenting a controller is a gimmick, but making your TV irrelevant is innovation?
Don't get me wrong, a VR headset could be cool. But we know nothing of functionality, price, support... and already N4G is putting this thing on a pedestal.
Things like this confirm my suspicions ...
Actually its 10 million... ahahaha.
16 million. Where do you come up with this crap?
"but a paywall can be a game changer if you don't/can't pay for the online service."
Exactly. And the portion of people that will be true for is much larger on the PS4, considering Xbox One is already a payed service.

Tech junkies are basically convinced that there is a dGPU that is part of MS' NDA with AMD, that we will hear about on the 29th... and their logic seems a lot more credible than what passes for "logic" around here.
Check out the comments on that page.
"paywall". lol.
I already happily pay for Xbox Live, so any improvement of the service is merely adding value to my existing plan. :) And boy are they supercharging the service!
Where as there will be tens of millions of Playstation users who will need to fork out an extra 60 dollars every year just so that they can play online.
If you can do duel screen, 8 is awesome. Also, for sports games, 8 is good.
Not that it matters to me in the end, just sayin...
EA: BF4, PVZ, Battlefront, Mirrors Edge, Titanfall, Dragons Age...
UBI: Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, the Division, The Crew, Farcry (hell, everything and anything tom clancy)...
It is impossible and hilarious to me. I'm a gamer, not a protestor. Standing up for tired principals doesn't fit in my scheduled. The internet is available in abundance, and games have been getting progressively better as the internet has become more synonymous wit...
"Especially after that NSA mess. "
Is that your fallback argument? Sounds like it.
"oh yeah... well.... MICROSOFT IS IN CAHOOTS WITH THE GOVERNMENT!"
Welcome to the 21st century.
"opinion", "lie", "perception"... all in the same sentence?
Man you're messed up.
@Kingpindip
"My original comment was one of excitement which you then went to say you didn't understand, I didn't put words in your mouth at all."
you said...
"If this happens it will justify a next gen purchase to me"
I took it literally, and responded appropriately. I didn't think your comment was french for "I'm excited".
I don't think that an unannounced p...
