Limiting yourself to one console is "totes lame".

Check that.

I agree with the statement. Both consoles will undoubtedly deliver amazing results, so who really cares?

Its the games that I'm interested in. As far as I'm concerned, graphics can take a back seat to density and freedom. Oh yeah, and massive amounts of real players littering online worlds!

Not to say that graphics don't significantly add to the experience... because they do.

"Oh and Sony was gonna go the same route. 4 gigs gddr5 with esram."

Wrong. Sony was talking about the possibility of utilizing eDRAM, which has some disadvantages compared to eSRAM.

Not that I care, I think both consoles will deliver fantastic results... I'm just sayin :)

That was what I was thinking when I opened this article. Nothing better than grapple hooking around in that small town map, up into the church tower... crazy fun with friends.

I didn't know that, and it does please me, as I will be PS4ing the hell out a PS4 by the holiday season.

However, that doesn't make the news pertaining to Xbox any less awesome...

Couldnt agree more. This is exciting news. Unity is HUGE, one of the most popular development tools for indie/independent and even AAA devs.

I like:

"we’re collaborating with Microsoft to develop tools for the Xbox One entertainment system, including support for many next-generation features like enhanced Kinect gestures and recognition, multiplayer matchmaking, SmartGlass and cloud stuff.

Oh, and developers who build games published by...

Ahhh yes. This is what I'm looking forward to, right now. SvM in Pandora Tomorrow (I think... soo many Splinter Cell games) was one of my favorite multiplayer experiences ever.

Nothing beats sneaking around human players, and lunging at them from the shadows.

@Ashlen

Way to dump all over something you clearly don't understand, for the sole reason that its Microsoft.

Clearly, if they are touting it as a new feature, than there is something novel about it. After reading the article, it seems like the difference between this and regular compression is massive.

Keweellll. DX11 is coveted tech, and this is why. Backed by greater minds than ours, I'm expecting some amazing stuff from MS in the coming generation.

Nope, but clearly I will have ample opportunity to use a Kinect 2.0.

4741d ago 10 agree16 disagreeView comment

They think that this means they get "options"... when ultimately, its the developer who has less options.

Which is OK, if your an Xbox gamer.

"Microsoft's decision to bundle a Kinect with each Xbox One and require it for use may be unpopular, but it guarantees that every user will have the option to try Kinect-enabled games and experiences. For developers, it means that Kinect integration is no longer a costly gamble on a small subsection of Xbox owners — motion-detecting and voice-sensing elements can be anything from a small optional game enhancement or the primary control method."

This is what'...

What a misleading title. The article isn't about the difference between XboxOne and PS4 at all. And, when it is, the answer is essentially "they are the same".

Garbage journalism with blatant spin. Fantastic, fits right in here at N4g.

I think MS will have a far more robust cloud infrastructure. They have already started talking up how its capable of persistent worlds and whatnot. Plus MS is offering massive amounts of dedicated servers to developers for ridiculously cheap. These server installations are tanks, and theres tons of them. Not a chance that Gaiaka can be optimized to preform those kinds of calculation. It wont even be there until 2014 at the earliest.

One of the reasons I've been on board w...

No consoles??? ahhhgggg! Was hoping they wouldn't say that. Heres hoping it gets ported to next-gen.

Really want a next-gen worms. Me and my friend play Worms Revolution more than any other game. A nice, sexy, high-def 60fps uber-refined XB1 Worms game would be most welcome.

Looking forward to using my Kinect for communication. I hate using headset mics. Plus, they always break or the battery goes dead.

Kinect communication ftw.

Those are all horrible reasons. Seems like the author was really stretching to come up with something.

@Fantasma

Oh, so your Xbox360 is obsolete? Funny, because MS promised me that MY xbox360 would relish in years of continued support.

You must have the specialized "screw this kid" version.
