Very true. Cant count how many times I've seen the Sony logo before a movie.
However, you can take your statement and supplement the words cloud and Microsoft.
MS has the infrastructure to support amazing gaming application.
So what matters more, TV, or gaming?
....
;)
Agreed. For this game, I'll fork it over.
If Zynga can compete with the likes of Apple, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Google, I'll eat my hat.
And its one of those old-timey hats, too.
Edit: Then again, if they have 40 mill to throw at snagging a new CEO, who knows what they are capable of?
Value is subjective. I never intended to favor the Xbox. People will judge accordingly, nobody ever said to what end. Personally, I think Sony has got it locked this holiday. Not to say that both consoles won't see wonderful sales. That much is already evident.
Check your own biases before you point the finger.
Edit: and maybe im guilty of the same thing... =s I do like the brand.
The way I see it, whoever runs n4g is trying to prevent this place from breaking down into a bitter, verbally charged flame war... which is probably for the best.
Considering members already have a tendency to tear each other to pieces without swear words, imagine what it would be like otherwise? I would feel sad just typing out the URL, lol. There would be nary an xbox supporter for 10 thousand fathoms.
No need to swear. Plenty of other sites for that. Try g...
Love the way this guy thinks. There is nothing he said that I disagree with.
People tend to over-emphasize the negatives, and dismiss anything positive, based on their per-conceived notions of what they think is better.
Personally, like Red Dragon, I have spent some time considering the kinds of things that Kinect might be capable of. Positive things. Not necessarily standard 1-1 body tracking (even though that, too, could be leveraged to positive effect), bu...
Either that, or the Hamburgler got past Grimace and stole all the burgers. Hard to tell.
oh god... lol.
I'll take Book Of Mormon... if it wasn't ridiculously priced and perpetually sold out in Toronto.
Thank you, forgot about that!
Slightly less punchy paraphrase... should do the trick :)
"We dreamed for this moment, we’ve been looking forward to it…"
You and me both, buddy!
"In terms of the raw hardware, I really like some aspects of the PS4 architecture. It’s a really nice machine, especially when you contemplate what the price is likely to be [which came to be $399], it’s bad ass. And then, some of the things that Microsoft’s attempting, and what they’re actually succeeding on with the software, I’m thrilled as frick." ...
I guess I'll settle for CGI realism... I guess.
I agree with pretty much everything you say.
Though, I don't think you should speak in certainties about who is making money... if anybody. I expect that neither company will make a dime off these consoles for the first little while.
MS is cutting their losses, where as Sony is deepening them in order to get their install base up nice and early so that they can pump out hardware/services and draw in the devs.
At the end of the day I don...
@spitfire
Are you too lazy to walk to to the store... or do you drive because its convenient?
What a weak, half-baked argument. If you could turn on the console using nothing but your mind, the Sony faithful would find something to complain about.
Now, if you could turn on your PS4 with your mind... yay! Sony, you're my hero!!
rofl. Way to take a good thing and make it bad.
Cynicism in its purest form. Al...
Apparently, according to one guy, you are wrong!
"its too early to call".... DISAGREE! lol. Oi, vey!
It is definitely to early to call, friend. At least some people understand that. You can hold pre-order numbers and online polls as the be-all-end-all... but at the end of the day, it will have no relevance to sales.
And, more importantly, it will have no relevance to which console offers a better experience. Something that has yet t...
I just got my Surface RT for that very reason. No way I'm missing out on an entire dimension of the experience in the next-gen. I'm going to have so many input devices, between smartglass, Kinect, and my controller... it will be nuts.
Thats awesome. I wish they could bring that sort of quality to the console universe. I can't even fathom that type of experience, as it stands.
@MasterCornholio
Am I angry? lol. Do I sound angry? Asking me that question, you sure do... As the pot said to the kettle.
Since I'm getting a PS4 this holiday, I'm not exactly angry about the price. In fact, I couldn't be happier. Saves me from having to buy two $600 consoles this holiday.
I think the value for the PS4 is incredible... I simply said that its under-priced. As in, if anyone is getting ripped off, its Sony. Doesn...
No chance of a price cut. $500 dollars is reasonable, considering last-gen launch prices.
I think the PS4 is under-priced, if anything. MS should not have to sacrifice just because Sony is doing so. People will see the value and purchase accordingly.
I've never played the game, nor seen it played. So I watched the video of the event, and was like "uhhhhh......"
Looks cool. But is that far-off perspective the only way to play the game?
"NumOnePS3FanBoy"
I guess I'll have to take your word for it...? :D
