Playing on tablet would be so awesome. Not having to turn on your console, you would have the freedom to play as a commander without feeling like you were missing out on the in-game action.
I can see this being a lot of fun, and adding a ton of depth to the game. Certainly it will make it a more focused, team-oriented experience, which is always better.
"The first 100 turns or so of a Civ V game hold that magic of the better prequels in this series"
So true. Me and my buddy never finish when we play. It just gets so stale. And now, we have sworn off Civ5, because we have played those first 100 turns into the ground.
There's only so many ways to play it.
lol.... yup.
Yes, the basic formula hasn't changed. Are you surprised? Hell, games in general haven't changed much since Goldeneye.
Its a matter of refinement. Rockstar knows how to build a truly amazing world packed to the hilt with fun stuff to do and limitless potential.
So what if you're still controlling from the 3rd person, hopping in and our of cars, reeking havoc on the city? Thats why these games are awesome.
FINALLY!
If there's one thing I both love and hate about rock*, its how they always make you wait until the very last minute to see some gameplay.
But, at the end of the day, you know its going to be awesome.
Of course it is. VITA is the only companion device for the PS4. They are essentially cramming it down your throat if you want the full experience.
Some people don't like to admit it, but having that companion touch/remote screen is practically an essential feature. Already I use Smartglass about as much as I use my controller.
People give MS crap for a lack of options, but Smartglass has struck the perfect balance. I wonder if Sony will come up with an ap...
I have been using Xbox Music religiously since I got my Surface RT... Its such a great service. The way that I can throw things between the tablet and Xbox is spectacular. I'll be listening to some Slightly Stoopid top hits on my surface on the balcony, realize my TV is right through the screen, mash my finger on the pad, and the music is immediately jamming through my TV speakers. May seem trivial... but that's the sort of minor detail that makes these things so great.
Dont forget BLACKLIST! One of my most anticipated titles right now, in spite of the looming presence of next-gen awesomeness.
Needs me some Spies vs Mercs 4v4 action.... *drool*
That being the case, I'm also ready for the next-gen. This generation has begun to wear on me. I'm ready for the next big push towards higher quality... as beautiful as BF3 is.
Been playing Hitman: Absolution, which is tons of fun... and the volume of the cro...
Agreed with both of you.
There is no slant in the article, just a matter of fact. Cross-platform development can't be easy.
Obviously the article title is fishing for hits. Weird how it seems to cast the Xbox One in a negative light, considering the source is OXM.
@cryofsilence
Lol... yeah. And both consoles can also render 3d graphics... I guess that's the end of that discussion, too?
The double standard is laughable.
If they deliver on all that, my expectations will be smashed.
In any case, Halo 5 will be awesome. Open world... dayum.
lol, agreed.
Lets not base our decisions on the words of industry professionals, features, investments, services, or games. No, lets make our appraisal based on internet polls and pre-order numbers.
That will make us feel better! :D
As usual, Xbox Live is pushing the boundaries of online console gaming, and PSN is playing catch-up.
Lol. Yeah, I guess, if you just completely ignore the second, much larger and evidently more important half of my post.
Which is not surprising. Seems ignorance is the only way for the PS4 faithful to get by.
No matter. At the end of the day, you will realize your mistakes. Whether you want to admit it or not, we have on our hands two highly capable gaming machines.
proof?
I dont see why that's neessary...
There certainly isn't any proof to the contrary.
Considering that this is a launch title, on a console with ample room for growth, I think its safe to say that Titanfall could be optimized to run smoothly on either next-gen machine or PC.
The horsepower is there. If you don't think that the same is true of the Xbox One, then you are deluding yourself.
What!!!!! But we want OPTIONS! BURN SONY TO CINDER!!! RAGEEEEE
@digiraptor
Cool, man. You have fun with your principals, while I enjoy great games. Win/win!
"Little is held back in the realm of effects work either. To our count, there’s full-screen motion blur, lens flares, plus high grade alpha for sparks, smoke plumes trailing behind rockets, and no restraints on particles spraying from ruined Titan foes – though again, physics-based action seems minimal outside of crumbling machinery.”
Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom.
=D
Cant wait for this game, in spite of all you... impartial doubters? Lol
Anyone who doesn't have a PC or an XB1 will be missing out on a fantastic experience.
The denial from sony's dedicated is palpable.
Why can't you just take this as a good thing? Some of us aren't so narrow that we refuse to consider all three. I love videogames and will be getting all 3 consoles, so good news is just that... good news.
No need to kick, scream, and manipulate the facts. That's all I see from you "faithful"
@gamer
Ahahahaha. Typical. You keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
Can't take anything at face value without inventing a bunch of bs and turning it into a pissing contest, eh?
People like to spin this negatively, bash TV, apps, and multimedia...
Little do they realize that these things are almost unanimously beloved by people everywhere, and having them all in one, easily accessible, multi-input device is incredible desirable.
If you want a device that does gaming and almost nothing else... get a WiiU. But, given the choice, I don't understand why anyone would want less.
Games aren't going anywhere. They ar...
