Half Life 2 did very well, but games like Crysis are suberb.
The best physics I have ever seen is when you shoot a gas canister in Killzone 2. Gas shoots out of the bullethole sending the canister flying around the room in a very realistic way.
I was worried that they would put less effort into the singleplayer. This would have really dissappointed me due to the fact that Drake's Fortune is STILL the best game I've ever played, even without any muktiplayer.
Let's hope that the best game ever made will have an even better sequel, although I doubt it.

These games are about shooting each other, games with vehicles in multiplayer are ALWAYS bad. Cod 4 and Killzone 2 have proved that the best multipler shooters are the simple ones where all you do is shoot at each other.
This has started to make me already hate the AC 130 gunner thing, but hopefull it's not too unbalanced.

Because if you have you'll know it's the closest thing to a perfect game. I rate it 10/10, the only game to recieve this rating. I thought it was so perfect that there would be no way to improve upon it, but it seems the sequel has.
And don't tell me the first one got bad reviews, because if you are using review scores then the very crappy GTAIV is the best game ever, and no one agrees with that.

I read the title, looked over at my copies of Drake's Fortune, MGS4 and Killzone 2, then let out a big DURRRRRR!
It's debatable which console has better graphics (and I know fanboys love debating it), but I'm just sticking to the facts. At the moment, the three aforementioned games are graphically a level above the 360. But with the release of Splinter Cell and Alan Wake, this gap will bw bridged and they will be on the same level.

I might save up so I can get it this year. But Uncharted seems to be the better action game so I'll be buying that first.
But is there a PC version? Or 360 only?
I wil definitely be buying Uncharted, Call of Duty and Ratchet and Clank this year. I'm also excited about Left 4 Dead 2, Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed 2 and Splinter Cell (if there's a PC version, can someone please tell me), but those games can wait till next year.

There is no denying he deserves the number 1 spot.
I don't really agree with Drake being a badass though. He is my favourite video game character just because he is NOT the typical badass, but more of a realistic, relate-able character.
But I suppose the combat itself makes him badass.

I LOVED Killzone, I enjoyed it way more than Halo 2. It had really fun shooting, something Halo didn't have.

Drake's fortune is the best game I've ever played and if anything the sequel will be an improvement. (hopefully it's not a downgrade like Cod4 going to world at crappy war)
Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank. He's just such an awesome guy and he has a million col gadgets and guns.
I'm sorry but saying Uncharted has the best water effect in gaming does not make you a fanboy; it make make you seem opinionated, but really it just means you are observant. The way the water ripples as Drake moves through it, the way it reflects and refracts light, but mostly how the waves moved so realistically in the second jet-ski segment. All these thing make the water better than in Crysis.
However, the Crysis water does have better reflections.
After playing Killzone 2, I think a first person cover system should be a new standard for FPS games. It was an awesome innovation that works so well. Damn all reviewers who said KZ2 brought nothing new to the table., this cover system alone makes it stand out to me.
I also think a 3 kill streak should always give radar and other kill streak perks from CoD 4, also an awesome game.
The damn zombie things in Drake's Fortune. I don't think anyone saw that coming. Was a really awesome twist though, and the whole Nazi base on the island was an even more awesome twist.
