But in terms of how fun the shooting is, Killzone 2 destroys any other game. The guns just feel soooooo good.
Call of duty is good too, crysis is ok but the recoil of the guns doesn't feel right.
Games like the Orange Box and Bioshock are great games, but as shooters they fail. Running around while shooting from the hip with a bad aimer and practically zero feeling of the guns, just isn't that fun to me, and is why I never liked games like Halo
What I like:
- Fun gameplay from Drake's Fortune
- Great Graphics/animation
What I don't like:
- Weak guns (The enemies in Drake's Fortune took a max of 5 shots, now it seems like more than that)
- Slow moving bullets (I hate how you can see them travelling, how it was in Drake's Fortune was better)
It looks the same as Uncharted 1.
So yeah, fluid is right.
"I personally prefer fewer players as opposed to 32v32 or whatever run n guns like halo and KZ."
I feel the same way, but Killzone is no run and gun shooter. The shooting in Killzone 2 was the best i have ever experienced. The way you move with the guns, they way they feel, the reactions to shooting/getting shot are all incredible.
Run n' gun shooter shooters are more like Halo (as you mentioned), Resistance 1 & 2, and Unreal tournament. These games I d...
And I completely ignored the singleplayer. But playing throught the KZ2 campaign with all of the HUD turned off is an unforgettable experience. I'd rank it 3rd after MGS4 and the perfect Drake's Fotune
Or is Drake slightly on the left. I preferred how it was in Drake's Fortune with him in the centre.
They are NOT a reliable or credible review source.
I usually check IGN or even gametrailers has proven to be good as of late.
I'm sure Uncharted will be good because the first one was perfect, and videos I've seen of MW2 seem bland and boring compared to Killzone.
But here in Australia all we get is a bag.
Although I'll admit it's a nice bag.
But more of an uninteresting, less fun version.
If Hollywood can't make a good movie out of Uncharted then they should just give up.
There's a disagree fairy floating around that's landing on evry post with the word "Uncharted"
But the shooting in Drake's Dortune is much better than in any other action game.
Apparently the AUS release date is October 16. Can anyone confirm this?
the 4th clone from Les Enfants Terribles: Liquidus Snake
Wipeout HD does exactly that.
And I think GT5:P does too.
I LOVE this game and it is one of my all time favourites (as with many people) but as a shooter game it fails. The guns feel crappy with little to no sense of recoil or effect, the aimer just plain sucks, most guns are way to weak, and the overall weapon design is very basic.
The reason I love this game so much is not for it's shooting, but for everything else, environment interaction, gravity gun, driving segments, story, enemy design, level design, etc.
But (apart ...
That review of Tools of Destruction was so stupid. I hope that guy who wrote it got a serious ass kicking.
If not for this generation, then of all time. I've never had so much fun playing a game before, and I don't think Ive played any other game 26 times without getting bored before either. Let's hope the sequel is as good!
Does anyone know when we will start seeing reviews?
This game may possibly make me lose interest in Drake's Fortune. Which I am still constantly playing after 2 years.
