It's probably not even all Microsoft, SE wants to make sure people know it's out on the 360 so people will be aware and they will buy it for both platforms. It's gonna get killed by the PS3 version regardless but after it tanks on the X360 I doubt SE will bank as hard as they did with this one. If Final Fantasy can't sell well on the 360 in the West then no JRPG will sell well on the 360 in the west. It's a shame really.
I have never really been bothered by installs but I guess I can see how some people could be. Updates however are nothing and usually take no more than minute unless it's a really big update and you are doing it douring a high traffic time. The only game I have ever wanted an install on is Bayonetta and the reasons speak for themselves (loading the pause menu WTF!) I thought they were going to use Passion again because it sets the mood so much better. Using the remix for Simple and Clean is kinda lame but I would bet that they will have her recording a new song for KH3 instead. The trailer was frickin' sweet though, especially the end. I can't wait for someone to finish and post the secret trailer when they beat the game, shouldn't take too long.

I am not generally a fan of conspiracy but the whole thing reeks of corporate shenanigans. It is very rare when both Pacther and EEDAR are off on the order in which NPD plays out, the numbers may be wrong but they usually get the order of sales correct. It's also fishy that Microsoft didn't have a very large Black Friday and still ended up 109k ahead of the PS3, and the bannings do seem to have been timed perfectly to boost sales. MW2 isn't new anymore and if they ban another million consoles...

Ninja Theory has a tendency to point fingers at a lot of different parties and not at themselves. Yeah the game got the shaft because the media at the time was being bought, but there were also problems with the game. Don't get me wrong, I loved Heavenly Sword and I still look forward to a sequel, one that I think will be made by Santa Monica Studio after God of War gets finished and released. The games was just to short, I finished it in four hours on Hard and that is completely unacceptable...
All they have to do is give it a shiny new coat of paint and relaunch it when the PSWand comes out and give it a control option for Natal so it can be used with that when it comes out. They will make all of their money back on it since most who played Dead Space will likely pick up the prequel, I know I would. Probably wouldn't play it with the Wand but whatever, it would still be a sale.
Their presser is gonna be friggin' massive for sure, I would imagine a rather large FW update is in the works, and from the sounds of this it's likely to be that leaked screen grab that went around post-E3. Twitter/Facebok like updates integrated into the PSN, gonna be awesome.
What a bunch of crap, there is no way that is a legitimate response because if it is someone is getting fired. I sold my Wii this past week because I hadn't plugged it in for 3 months, and paltry VC releases was one of those reasons, and a lack of decent first party software. I will buy a used one again in a couple of years once there is far more choice on VC, WiiWare, and disc based games.

Microsoft will be the fastest console to hit sub-$100 prices because that's the only way they can really compete. Me thinks if this is true and they are going to release it between now and Gamescon, they should announce it around the time of June NPD, and other monthly numers, start coming out. It would maximize the impact between now and then and bolster sales further if they announce the Slim at Gamescon.
But then again it is Sony and they tend to do things as backward as possible....
