MGS4 is getting tweaked, it is in the final stage of development. According to the Kojima Productions podcast.
The video says that you should turn on the superwhite.
But this doesn't matter because there is no content that suports the superwhite feature yet. So it's ok if you have this disabled.
PS3 is getting DivX, I know, but will it be able to play Xvid as well?
Are DivX and Xvid the same thing?
Crysis
@gamesblow
You got a PS3? And you are not gonna get MGS4?
That's crazy, that is just crazy.
HD-DVD players didn't sell 750.000 players on black friday.
After black friday, the number of total sold HD-DVD players surpassed 750.000 units. This is total number of HD-DVD players sold in America (or the world, not sure).
Yeah, Blu-ray (as well as HD-DVD) have fullscreen titles. But most titles are widescreen though.
Look at the aspect ratio on the cover art, if it states 1.85:1 aspect ratio, that means you get a full screen.
If it is 2.35:1 or 2.40:1, then you get letterbox.
Spiderman 3 is letterbox because they are showing you the FULL movie (like they would in a theater). Letterbox simply means, that the movie is wider than your display.
Widescreen movies fill up your entire screen, but doesn't show you the whole movie. You are missing some of the picture on the left and right of the screen.
Some, DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray titles are widescreen (letterbox), others are fullscreen. DVD's are usually released in 2 versions. The last Sam...
NG2 looks awesome.
When dodging an attack, you rolled out of the way in NG1. It seems this has been dropped though, now he jumps out of the way. The rolling was one of my favourite things in NG1. But still, this game is amazing.
Uncharted is still HD though, cant say that about COD4.
Ucharted covers 720p and is in fact a 1080i game.
Uncharted = 960x1080 = 1080i.
The difference between 1080i and 1080p, is that 1080i only renews half the image at a time, 1080p renews the full image.
1080p = 1920x1080 = 2.073.600 pixels.
1080i = 960x1080 = 1.036.800 pixels (exact half of 1080p).
720p = 1280x720 = 921.600 pixels.
It is there own damn fault, they should've just delayed the title to work out the glitches.
But Ubisoft isn't that kind of company. Like EA, quantity before quality.
Just select RGB FULL in PS3 settings and the colors should be like the 360 version.
13.1? Lol, it doesn't go higher than 7.1.
BulletToothTony (cool name btw)
Have you tried unchecking 720p and/or 1080i on your PS3, and then play a 720p PS3 game?
Good question.
Unlike what IRISHCALIBER and all the X-bot's say MGS4 being delayed is a good thing.
I am a hardcore MGS fan. All other games added up, doesnt equal MGS imo.
I dont know what the reason is why Konami delayed it. But if it is Kojima productions asking for the delay, then it is definately to tweak the game. If it was Konami's decision, then it was for economical reasons, but this still gives Koji productions the oppertunity to tweak the game.

I kinda get the propaganda feeling, lol.
But hey, positive energy is always a good thing, I guess.
Next-gen is:
Real rendered shadows:
Like when you move the light source (the sun for example), the shadows of everything you see on the screen (including buildings) move.
When weapons are fired, stuff around it get temporary shadows because of the muzzle flash.
Real day-night:
The game mimics real day and night. Morning, afternoon, evening, night. With real shadows included. If the game is set outside.
Fully destructible envirn...
The ultimate moment for me when fighting the end was when he sneaked up behind me.
I was lying there sniping, I have a 5.1 surround sound, and all of a sudden I hear breathing. Before I looked behind me and there he was, lol.
Microsoft wasn't counting on HD-DVD to win. They were counting on prolonging the format war.
