A stylized look that puts the Matrix demo to shame. Guerilla are the graphics kings!
One game? Besides Kena they have recently helped Fall Guys, Rocket League, Sifu, Stray, Little Devil Inside, Solar Ash, Moss, Oddworld Soulstorm, Nour, Axiom Verge, Maquette, No Man's Sky, Bugsnax, and more. Hellblade also launched as a PS4 exclusive. :)
I don't believe anything the hacks at IGN have to say.
He's saying it isn't an action game so you would have to refine the controls and interface to bring the player closer and deeper into the horror to have the same effect on the user as the original. I think possibly VR or just adding more challenging enemies might be along the lines of what he's saying. As an atmospheric horror game rather than an action horror game the constant threat of danger and overwhelming sense of dread is most important.
It was a hype trailer. The music in the actual game I'm sure will be darker.
I'm not the one pretending to be some internet hero game enthusiast when really I have no interest in games at all.
Yeah that's gonna get old fast. If you've played any Ninja Theory game you know overacting is their signature.
Super low lighting and constant blur is a sort of trick. Definitely looked real time but not what I would call gameplay.
They are taking their action expertise from Gravity Rush and combining it with their passion for horror. Looks unique and exciting to me.
Seems like an amazing relationship to me. They helped guide and promote Ember Labs' Kena Bridge of Spirits which won indie game of the year.
They also have Shu Yoshida the former president of Sony in charge of their indie outreach (Head of Independent Developer Initiative.) They couldn't ask for better.
If the PS3 was a year earlier and a $100 cheaper at launch it very well could have. Or if Nintendo made a serious product and not a Fischer-Price toy.
Your PS5 is collecting dust, eh? I'll remember that the next time you claim to be an impartial gamer.
Zelda syndrome. Fans of certain highly popular franchises end up just wanting more and more of the same.
The PSN hack was awesome. They gave us a bunch of free games. 😍
That's Microsoft's game. You can't source the numbers because they hide them when they aren't good. They were forced to reveal that game pass numbers missed their target and the executives missed out on their bonuses.
No, you can't do any of that and people only do it to steal games.
Hopefully not. Pirated games means less money made which means fewer or lower quality games or an always online requirement.
"From the mechanics to the environments, nearly everything in Psychonauts 2 serves the game’s narrative"
Yes, but in a very obvious way. Real art uses metaphor and challenging symbolism. Look at Silent Hill 2 as an example. You fight door monsters and faceless nurses. Why? Because having to open his wife's hospital room was excruciating as was the constant flow of nurses as she lay dying. Now that is a story worth celebrating.
Playstation out there giving indies a place to shine. You love to see it.
