Cars are basically free with how easy it is to earn in game credits. There is no battle pass.
Skipping the much larger install base of Playstation doesn't make financial sense either until you realize their goal isn't to make money in the short term selling games but to collapse the entire gaming industry into a subscription revenue stream.
I thought the demo was just okay. Did they actually improve anything since then? Thymesia and Jedi Fallen Order are probably the best non-From soulslikes.
And that's why they can't drop support for it. This entire Gen all their games will be built around a console less powerful than the One X from last gen.
Pretty sure at one point they made a ludicrous statement like they wanted one billion gamers on gamepass since it didn't need a console to work. They really thought that was a reasonable target from this news.
Which is exactly why they are awful for the industry. They don't want to succeed at making good games or good hardware all they care about is subscriptions. It's been true of Microsoft for decades.
Just because they are damanding money that doesn't mean they have any right to it. I can't imagine those massive companies all were dumb enough to sign a contract allowing for this.
I think you could easily populate the world with real AI citizens. Let writers write the quests but imagine walking up to any of a million NPCs and they are fully voiced and endlessly are willing to spew their AI generated musings based on your past adventures, the state of the world, and their own thoughts. Now that would be a true living world. If you want to talk gameplay VR and more importantly VR tracking controllers can take something as far removed as pressing a button to craft a potio...

Glad they are working on a new game. As much as I enjoyed warframe it started to go all over the place losing focus. And honestly once you got overpowered it was a lot less fun than when you were first starting out. A slower pace and their skill at gameplay will really shine. Keeping an eye on this one.
In the article he claims series s has a smaller install base so that's why it isn't "prioritized" by developers but all the info I have seen is that series S is the lion's share of Xbox sales. They can't drop it. They would be alienating the majority of Xbox owners.
Dreams is fantastic. A shame it won't get any more updates but I have really enjoyed the creativity my fellow gamers displayed in it.
And gamers lose with games that are unoptimized for next Gen.
Expect annual increases until the shareholders are satisfied.
I enjoyed the last two but this new one really should look and feel different. It's a new Gen and I want to be wowed. This isn't wowing me.
