with the exception of a few people who were full of crap, no one has presented solid, verifiable evidence of identity theft directly related to this event.

Sure, it may happen but, to be filled with vitriol over it won't make it any better.

And I still think that a company openly selling a defective product (read: piece of garbage) is much worse than a company being a victim of an organized attack on it's servers.

which is worse? temporary road construction or your car blowing it's engine?

My favorite was Burnout 3, I wish they would bring back that format, with the crash junctions and tracks with only a few shortcuts. sometimes more is less.

Are you kidding me? MS OS's are the most unreliable, bug ridden operating systems ever made.

no one had a monopoly on clay feet, man.

We need to learn from each other, rather than demonizing ourselves while looking for saints and perfection in others (people, cultures and countries).

your an idiot...or you don't know that "computers" are quite amazing nowadays! they can do this crazy thing...and are really good at making copies of data! crazy! right?!?

you would have to be an idiot to actually think Sony "buying" the data from the "criminals" would magically make this situation better. Criminals are not honorable and I can assure you that there are thousands of copies of that data floating around the internet right now.

yeah, because buying back a database that has probably been duplicated and distributed thousands of times is really a good investment.

If Sony did buy back the information I would have to question their mental acumen and ability to make good decisions.

Once Nintendo releases a statement that they mixed Miyamoto's waste into the plastic housing of the 3DS during manufacturing every nintendo fanboy on the face of the planet will buy five of them, just so they can proudly have a piece of the "great" Miyamoto.

Sony may have screwed up but, do you actually think just because MS hasn't told you that XBL has been hacked that it never has been? MS has the absolute WORST record when it comes to creating secure and stable software and networks, the SOP with MS is to never admit anything unless they are put up against a wall and have no choice. Anyone that trusts Microsoft's security deserves everything they get.

If you disagree, man up and tell me why? and show me proof of MS tra...

"And as all Sony fanboys have been told nothing is unhackable"

This statement makes me think that you feel that there are "unhackable" networks and software somewhere in the world?
Is that true? do you think that a totally secure network is the norm and that being able to hack a network or some sort of software is impossible unless there is some deliberate flaw?

maybe I don't understand what you are saying, putting the word &q...

"I'v already got 3 friends who traded their Playstations and purchased 360 due to Sony's little "down time". "

then, your friends are pathetic, they took a big hit trading everything they had in to replace it with a 360...because they cannot wait for PSN to come back up...I've heard of people that have more money than sense but, this even go's beyond anything I could even imagine.
matter of fact, it is so stupid that it sounds like...

5541d ago 10 agree10 disagreeView comment

this is stupid, this is like saying that your car blowing it's engine (because the manufacturer used aluminum bolts to hold the connecting rods to the crankshaft to save money and get the car out before it's competitors) and the freeway being temporarily closed for repairs is the same because you cannot drive.

The only person that would agree with this is a person trying to justify the poor quality and rampant failures of the 360.

These blogs and "articles" are just headache-inducing stupidity.

You know what's going to happen...NOTHING, devs will go on business as usual. If anyone can take their fanboy blinders off and remember who makes the most insecure Operating systems and server software on the planet where lies and ignoring flaws are the SOP for this company and people still use them, why would they stop using PSN?

who cares about all this nonsense!

I preordered and fully paid for PS3 version of the game before there was ever a mention of which version had the graphic/performance edge.

The story and gameplay, man. the facial tech, the new style of gameplay that the facial tech brings to the table. you would have to be crazy not to get a copy of this game on any platform it supports.
