Duke is so long in coming that the gameplay has become fresh.
I miss the old days with Duke and Wang with their humorous remarks and crazy gameplay.

You know what would be cool, being able to sneak up behind the fried egg and execute a stealth take down holding his mouth shut as you stab him in the yolk at the same time gently shushing him as you lay him on the floor.
There should be enough time between sequels that DLC and support warrants it's value. Left for Dead 1 and 2 are an excellent example of being way to close together. there were a lot of L4D owners pretty angry when L4D2 was announced and released.

I was completely enjoying Crysis 2, the gameplay, how good the game looks...but, after reading this article I just cannot enjoy it anymore, knowing that there are pixel resolution differences at 50x zoom just ruins the whole experience! I am just grateful that there are good people out there saving me from enjoying this crippled game with these comparisons.

IDK, Crysis 2 is pretty enjoyable to play, the controls are sane and the game looks great. what more could you ask for in a game??

frankly, I might be biased, I am not partial to Cliffy's work, except when Epic released unreal tournament on Linux.
As for Gabe Newell, just about everything his company made was great. though His remarks toward The PS3 were uncalled for, It didn't stop me from having a steam account and many of his games.
Jaffe is a foul mouthed crybaby, But, Cliffy B. is a dyed in the wool adolescent troll. He makes statements to piss people off, Jaffe at least states how he feels weather the reader likes it or not. He doesn't come off like he is somehow obligated to talk bad about the 360 or Microsoft.
@Vaistrat, Cliffy B. couldn't lick the dust off of John Carmack's shoes.
And at least Carmack states his opinions on technical groundings, not acting like a 14 year old saying stupid stuff like "feeding on the tears of fanboys". or using foul language to emphasize his complaints that happen to be in the realm of the minutia. Button labels....sheesh!
Yeah, I used to proudly own all 3 consoles but the 360 kept killing itself, and the Wii, well the Wii just sat there till it was covered in so much dust that it's shelf looked like a winter wonderland.
Now I am a happy owner of 2 PS3's (and a gaming PC)
90% of the games I buy I would rather wait till there is a price drop or a pre-release discount, like newegg had for Crysis 2 49.00 with free shipping. and I got Blur on release day for 20.00.
While I believe that some games warrant release day support (uncharted, god of war, battlefield)
alot are only worth 30 to 45.00 and I am willing to wait a while or try to get a discount.

42 myself and love it, my brother is 44 and he still plays. I never had anyone give my crap over playing games. to be honest I always thought that was something that was an issue only in TV and the movies.
