In my opinion it is so much better than R:2 gameplay-wise. from the weapon wheel to the snow drifts and destruction.
R:2 removed the excellent weapon wheel and made the game more predictable. eg: any time you were going to an area with a boss the weapon to kill it was conveniently laying around at the beginning of the level.
also, some of the enemies were just annoying rather than challenging, the invisible ones the "swarm" and the most annoying, the grimm...
I have never played the fable series ( when I had a 360) and I frankly was never really interested in it. but, the way people pan it tells me that Peter Molyneux is really good at "selling" his games with pretty words and hyperbole rather than quality and true innovation.
"Rambo Game Could be the Best Game Ever, but Probably Won't be"
First, A "Rambo" game, even if the game is great could never be "the best game ever".
the statement is so stupid that it could only have been said by a mental midget.
the character of Dan Hagar in the sand rail, his voice sounds like it could be John Goodman, matter of fact I am almost sure it is John Goodman.
I loved the high speed chase/ gun fight on some empty Arizona desert road, very atmospheric and visceral.
I am actually disappointed that 8 days will most likely never see the light of day.
There is really nothing like it on the market that could even compare to it. ( the story and set pieces)
you are so right! I remember reviewers giving Sony first party games lower scores for having too much variety or for being an exclusive. or even having too many levels.
what a bunch of sad sacks
I kinda liked the story...or what I could extract from the little information and videos. The 8 day length of whatever is going to happen on the last day, the buddy/heist movie dynamic. the action movie style action sequences, the fact that Ving Rhames and Gary Oldman as well as a few other actors were attached to the game for voice and models.
The 3 or 4 action cover system looked really interesting. swapping places and tossing ammo to each other was kind of cludgy and a wa...
maybe I'll check it out on line somewhere. I can tell that your avatar is a manga avatar and not an anime one.
D@mn, Deadman wonderland is a good anime.
sheesh, that like asking why t-shirt sales get second class treatment at a rock concert.
maybe Snowii got insulted about the statement at the end about "going back to being a gentleman's fluffer."
possibly his career of choice?
of course he would love everything to go digital, it is a win all around for the developer and/or publisher and the worst thing to happen to the consumer. $60 and up pricing for digital downloads and no way to trade or sell or even save a copy of the game.
"Ms security is a whole lot better than sony will ever be"
HAHAHAHAHA!! The words "Microsoft" and "security" should NEVER and USUALLY are NOT used in a sentence positively.
The only people that think Ms sells "secure" or the "best" software are people that don't know any better or are impressed with how rich Bill Gates is and consider him some sort of celebrity.

I'm pretty sure that Abrams M1A1 and M1A2 tanks are air conditioned....just sayin' :P
they had a whole feature about them on the Military channel :)
"Why Sony and Microsoft Teaming Up on Their Next Console Makes a Lot of Sense" for them, not the customer.
The elimination of competition through a merger or corporate cooperation has never benefited the customer.
It kills innovation and raises prices. always.
This "pie in the sky" dream that things would be so much better if there was one "universal console" or less players in the console space is pure fantasy a...
I understand that there are people out there that love sports and, by extension sports games but, holy hell what a boor. I even block the channels my cable provider has that are all sports because seeing even a second of baseball, football or anything else sports related just gives me one big headache.
"Epic: good can come from studio closures"
Sure, as long as it isn't Epic, right?
there is an easy answer to this, but, a lot of people aren't patient, lack self control or are just not cost conscious.
All you have to do is this: DO NOT Pre-ORDER any games and wait until the price drops or until there is a big sale before you buy the game.
I do it all the time, I don't pay 60.00 for ANY game I buy. what is a month to you to get a better deal? nothing, for a publisher, it is an eternity, that triple A game will be down to 40.00 aft...
I wish they would at least discount Castle crashers in the U.S. I just cannot see spending 15.00 on it, It is a fun little game just not at that price.
I have been saying that every time an article like this comes out, if you have the patience to just wait, ignore the release date and wait, I can assure you that the price of the game will drop and you can get the game for less than used prices.
Also, the satisfaction of not letting the offending developer and publisher have those sweet, sweet first 2 week to one month numbers will screw up their business strategy and drop prices quicker.
we have the power t...
