Drawn to Death died because it was pay to win. It was a simple No when I found out you can buy all the characters instead of unlocking it. It was a cool concept but David Jaffe said he loves games where people can tank hits. He hates the concept of twitch shooters like COD. Which is fine, but Jaffe never made a game where the shooting mechanics are smooth. Halo has a high TTK (Time to Kill) but the mechanics are so smooth (aim assists helps of course) so it is fun shooting at someone. Drawn t...

The same reason why people buy new outfits in real life, to look different and to look unique.

People can just by plain white or black shirts and jeans. Of course, I am sure people do but for the most part people buy more expensive clothes even though they don't need to.

I have no problem with loot boxes as long as they are ONLY cosmetics, developers also add content free of charge (not all content should be free but some), and the game play of the g...

To me that was my problem with Nintendo made games, there is no competitiveness to them since if you are losing the game has mechanics to help you win. Or they will have special moves so you can do to secure a point. I sometimes like to take all that stuff out and see who is really good with the basics.

I think this has more to do with MS having the concept of always online console with the xbox one im the beginning, which the developers banked on for their game with the cloud.

That whole always online concept backfired and MS did a 180, and Crackdown 3 was already well into the development which the notion of having the user have an always online console.

They had to back track with the SP to accomitdate to the change which caused a lot of set backs. B...

If you type 'GOW' in Google, google comes up with Gears of War instead of God of War.

Gears ALWAYS had great graphics since the first one. But graphics do not make a game good. There hasn't been a really good Gears game since 2011. To me now, Gears is a game where Microsoft uses it to adveritse the graphics for the console and that is it.

I just miss Gears 2 soooooooo much!

I am actually very happy that they are doing a sequel to Surge 2. The first one had a really good foundation but misses on a few things. I am happy that the developers are getting a second chance.

I mean yes, but Destiny 1 was also a complete mess and totally needed a new foundation to bring in more people to the game. Hardcore fans don't understand that and feel they got the middle finger in Destiny 2 but the casuals got the middle finger in Destiny 1. There was more content in D2 compared to D1 at launch. That is a fact but of course, it took D2 some time to really start running.

They now have a MUCH better foundation and it shows. I know when it comes to Dest...

Also the fact that Destiny is getting better and better. The fact that Forsaken looks to be really good makes people go back to Destiny and not think of similar games like Destiny. The grind to level 385 is there and people know that so they want to get there before Sept.

I mean in the world of re-skins, it makes sense for these guns to come back. Like most gun ethusists you mod your weapons making them different. You also have tons of people wanting old weapons back and t...

He literally says in the article, that he needs more practice. He just puts on a misleading title to get people to read it.

"Often, just as I was getting into a good web-slinging rhythm, I’d run out of buildings..."

I mean, that is on you if you kept going a way where you can't go anymore. If you were actual Spider-man you would need to actually think of where you need to go to SMOOTHLY get there.

Then the authors says, more practice could help with that.

User error and misleading titles!

I am indifferent, I just want the developers to make me believe that the person who I am/intercat with are belieavble.

Nolan North's voice is very distinguishable but when I hear Drake talk I hear Drake and not Nolan. The same thing with Modi in GOW. I had no idea it was him until an article I saw.

Interesting read, but I think we all think they get something closer to Hollywood voice actors but a little less. I wonder if their names bring in that much extra money for the famous actors. I am sure mo cap will add to that expsense as well. I also know, a lot of "famous" actors like do video games because it is a passion project. They al...

I can't wait for this game but I am trying to think of a developer that made a game and said their new game is smaller than their last one.

People want the wrong things in this indutry which is a HUGE problem when a developer needs to obey that because. The only thing we should want is 60FPS on all games. I don't care about graphics or how big some game worlds are. I want to know what you can do in them, what is different compared to the other open world games or s...

Because if a developer wants to tell a story about a character, the player wants to actually see the character to see how he/she reacts to the world. You will see emotions throughout the game without needed a cutscene.

A first person view is more aligned with YOU are the character (Far Cry 5 for an example) so in reality you don't see yourself from behind you lol. I loved Far Cry but I didn't give a crap about the characater I was because I never saw that person.

I think it is more about that they understand why Sony is doing it just like when MS did the same thing last generation.

Personally, I rather have it because I am a consumer and being to play anyone regardless of platform is awesome. Just like everyone said at least once in these comments, this is a business first which sucks for consumers like you and I.

I just think people are taking this WAY out of proportion. No one bats an eye when MS did the same ...

Codedan, you do you last generation Sony asked MS for this exact same thing and MS said no, for the same reason why Sony is saying no.

Also, Playstation was one of the first consoles to have cross platform play. I don't know what you mean a terrible history with this when it is almost the complete opposite.

As a gamer myself I am upset with Sony decision but understand it though.

The amount of casuals that play videos games is a ridiculous number! Gamers who go to N4G, IGN, Reddit and etc, are so far in the minority but a lot of people assume it is the other way around.

I was thinking the same, the last thing I am worried about is what kind of format they used. I mean are we really nit picking on what format a company uses for their presentation. I mean, nothing was wrong with it, and it was their first time trying something new but god forbid you do that.

I think all the publishers/developers had good showings at E3. I mean E3 is like Christmas, even if Santa didn't bring you all the gifts you want, you still had a good Christmas (or ...
