Exactly the main reason why I like Sony to at least stay in the competition, if not winning this current console generation round. The idea of MS dominating the computer AND videogame industry IS a little too disturbing for me.
Don't get me wrong, MS has great products (though I don't like Vista), but I don't want to be getting my video game fix JUST from them.

Agreed! I mean seriously, just because the PS3 can't upscale PS2 and PS1 graphics DOESN'T freakin' mean you can't play them. Second, we're talking about games built for time-period specific TV sets, so why even make a freakin' fuss about "upscaling" without touching the game's code. That is the equivalent of you fanboys from both sides arguing which system can upscale a "code-untouched" Pac Man game from the late 70's.

One stupid decision (Nintendo dissing Sony) led to the creation of the PS brand and the beginning of the end of Nintendo's dominance. Years later, lame decisions from the Sony higher-ups would cause headaches for the PS brand, with Nintendo once again gaining dominance through sales. Oh, how ironic!!

Uh, I know what's going on with Sony, which explains why I'm not playing with my PS3 that much (sensing the sarcasm already?). I was just pointing out the irony that you weren't (and obviously still aren't) playing with your Xbox 360, your Almighty Fun Machine. That by itself begs the question of why even bother read a rather boring news article as opposed to playing your Xbox 360. Still not convinced? Check my comments history, and you'll find that even I myself have not-so-optimistic view...
