Sony last year only succeeded making people scratch their heads (with a big question mark floating above them) after announcing the PS3's price tag. As a matter of fact, it was the first time Sony messsed up E3 and MS pretty much stole the show, with Nintendo in a not-too-far second.
Before this, I thought that Killzone 2 was just another 'overly-hyped' game, even as a Sony fan myself. Now...with great expectations coming from 'supposedly' MS-biased Gamespot...I'm (sniff)...excited!
EDIT: Geez, I wonder who disagreed with me. Let me guess...it was nice_cuppa!! No...it was...nice_cuppa! No, no, no.....nice_cuppa! Wait....nice_cuppa! Oh, c'mon!!
...but you're hanging out with the WRONG crowd here, DUH!!
"The first page basically consists of 30% gaming news and 70% Ps3 fanboy brainwashing."
So if you think that this article is like other articles in this site that is "30% gaming news and 70% Ps3 fanboy brainwashing", then WHAT does make the seemingly countless, media-fueled, anti-PS3 articles out there? Let me guess your answer...oh yeah, they're 100% unbiased media perspectives!!
How I truly appreciate (cough...sarcasm...cough) you guys ca...
Good points, buddy!!
+bubble for you
@ omegasyde and freemonk,
Your comments couldn't be any more true. This is truly a gamer's community, whether you're a console partisan, casual or hardcore gamer. I gotta be honest, without the crazy posters (POG, Bill Gates, Thammer1, xsux360, BS3, Jokes on You, Maddens Raiders...heck, I might as well include myself) this site wouldn't be the what it is right now.
Funny I'm saying this right now, because when I first came to this site, I was truly annoyed with the ramp...
"mmm... is this one of those things... like the 20 dollard bill compiracy about sept 11? People see what they want to see"
I was thinking about that before I posted earlier but somehow forgot. You beat me, Blade! :-)
Nah...I DON'T think that it was intentional. Rather, it's just a case of "looking for cloud figures in the sky" syndrome. What's next? A mountain side looking like Elvis Presley and claiming it as proof that the king is alive?
...will it have the same PS2 chip for backwards compatibility? I like Sony, but $100 difference seems to be a little too much for a little gain.
Dude, I knew what the hell you were talking about, and certainly knew that it was just "a humor". The analogy seems to be, a little too much, and just begging (I mean SERIOUSLY) to be sarcastically satirized. Hence, my post. But still, I'll admit that even I myself went a little too far in my reply.
LOL @ dimwitted,
You didn't get my joke either, bud, so I still get the last laugh! You got a perfect screen name (fits exactly you), though.
And the full size of your schlong is probably the equivalent of a...AAA battery. So yeah, 40% of that size truly impresses the ladies...
Dear POG, I hope you don't mind I dissect your "arguments" and reveal the fallacies found within them.
1. ARGUMENT: I'v seen PS2's that no longer looked like PS2's the probelam was so bad the average consumer became a PS2 techie and rigged them to work "sometimes".
FALLACY: "I've" is the keyword here. It means that you've made a
conclusion based on very (and I mean "very")small samples gathered by your very (once again, &...
same here...but nearly perfect! My old, first gen PS1 still works (though CD drive mechanisms are a bit worn out after years of use), the PS2 (a "first day launch" PS2 BTW but had it repaired only once for FREE by Sony). My PS3 is still rockin' except for that occasional, annoying BT headset dropouts (hint: avoid Motorola H350 BT headsets like a plague!). Still, all of my three PS generation consoles work fine.
@Jokes On You,
Whoa! You showed some (keyword: some) improvement in writing skills (remember the last time I replied to your post? If in doubt, check my or your "comments" history). It's either you temporarily ran out of drugs to use or you finally got yourself some belated (much needed) education to at least (in some ways) match the intelligence of us "supposedly" middle-schooler Sony fans.
P.S. What's the status of your 360 in the MS' 3rd W...
@Bull$h!t the Third,
Long time no see, bud (still remember me?). Anyway, using YOUR logic as posted above, one way MS can AVOID the fixing cost is to PASS it to the consumers. That's so exactly brilliant! Hey, don't argue with me bud,....it's your logic...so yes I do "geddit"!
Daxx, as much as I understand your opinion, eliminating fanboys from this site would be taking the very "heart and soul" of it. As annoying as fanboys can be, there is nothing funnier than reading their comments, especially after a long, bad day for me.
@--------,
Leave the guy alone, would ya? Snoop was merely stating that his 360 is somehow still working good, and not a flamebait comment. Although the "red ring of death" isn't a Sony made, "urban legend" as many die hard Xbots in this site would like to preach, it doesn't mean that every 360 has to go through it after one year (or less).
Way a go Sony!!
...would be MTV of today compared to its 80's - mid 90's heydays. Like MTV (which started out as a dedicated music channel to a reality 'crap' TV channel), G4TV sold its 'soul' to ratings, transforming from gamer's channel to a "now-cancelled shows" re-run channel.
@Daewoodrow,
It is obvious that you aren't getting the point and decided to backlash instead. With so much anti-PS3 media frenzy (lost exclusives, slow sales, poor 360 ports, etc) going on around to paint the image of the PS3 as a 'bad investment', it's understandable that people would begin to have doubts (heck, that's how propaganda works in a competition). This year's E3 managed to help in clearing at least some of those doubts
P.S. Before you start accusing...
