Spiderman 2 was only distributed by Columbia Pictures (Sony subsidiary) and Infamous was only published by SCE.

DC Universe Online unless it's free to play, will flop just like APB at least on PC anyway.

edit:

Looks like DCUO will have a $14.99 a month subscription on both Windows and PS3.

And what is this doing on N4G exactly? We get it, piracy is now an issue since the PS3 hacked.

Sony's Q4 2011 fiscal year is between Jan 1 - March 31 2012.

Well if they simply had to give the award out, it wouldn't exactly make sense to give it to something like...I don't know...PS Move? as it's about as original as a PS3 troll in 360 tagged article. Kinect basically won it because it's the "it" thing right now nothing more.

PS: I don't think Kinect deserved the award though, maybe OnLive?

Why is this getting reported as a duplicate or old? Like Nineball2112 said, the other article(s) only failed because the source included instructions on how to install Geoshot's CFW and could ultimately lead to piracy, this does not.

edit: @moegooner88

This submission contains no instructions whatsoever. The article that _JL_ originally commented on and failed contained instructions in the source and again this does not.

Um, yeah it does. I think you mean sold to retail =/= sold to consumers

Let's filter this list a bit, as it seems to be a bit inflated;

These, were released in 2010 (Japan):
- Hyperdimension Neptunia
- Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel
- No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise
- Yakuza 4

These are PS2 games:
- The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection

This is multiplatform and released in 2010 (Japan):
- No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise

This is a ...

Why is it so hard for you people to understand? GT5 received the scores it did because it deserved them, it is at 84 on metacritic because that is where it should be.

Why should reviewers change the way they review games because a racing game 4-5 years in development turned out to be average? Why is there no article questioning why LBP2 is receiving good reviews? Why is no one claiming IGN etc didn't spend enough time with LBP2 to give it the scores they did?

Move will probably die out like the EyeToy/PSEye and Betamax. So it would be better to look at the long term but short term Kinect is the biggest waste of money.

@Nyc_Gamer

Doesn't hacking the 360 require hardware modification? Comparing the PS3 jailbreak or whatever to the 360's is the wrong comparison. You should be comparing it to the PC/smartphones, which only requires software to hack/crack. This can also be said about hacking the PS2 last generation.

This will hurt PS3 software far more than any other console because;

It's easier to hack
Only requires software

If that were true, then why is Sony incorporating Move into many of it's core titles, even going as far as adding support for Move in older games? Sony relied on the PS3 to inflate the sales of bluray by including it in the PS3. You are confusing support for a newly released device for desperation, desperation is forcing the consumer to buy a product they don't want by making it a requirement included in a product they do want.

Sony want to be the new wii and this is ...

I bet the PS3 becomes the most hacked/jailbroken/pirated console in history, there is almost no repercussions for jailbreaking your PS3 and it requires no hardware modification.

I have never heard of a newspaper covering a console being hacked on the frontpage. Especially not a newspaper that is free and available in London a city with a population of nearly 8 million people not including tourists.

Sony dun goofed...

All the other hacked consoles disagree with you. There is nothing special about Sony and the case of the PS3 other than having an 80% marketshare last generation to below 30% marketshare today. Besides Sony brought this on themselves by removing otherOS.

The biggest difference between Sony and MS's approach is;

Sony
Merging both core and casual gamers into a wii family. The problems don't start to appear until content is cut and a game is gimped during development because it just would not be possible with Move, case in point Heavy Rain and it's cancelled DLC among o...

Sony had their press conference already? I realize CES is a tech event and does not feature solely gaming tech, but did Sony announce sales or data of the PS3 bar PSN accounts?

Can someone also cliff/summarize the video?

Other peoples opinions that you do not agree with = "killing gaming"?

If 3D Dot Game Heroes received nothing but 9's and 10's I doubt you would be writing a blog complaining about it's high scores. The game received most of those scores because <gasps!> it deserved them.

Stick to writing exclusive game lists, petitions and creating EDGE conspiracy blogs on blogspot, PS3 fanboy pls go.

You're correct up to a point.

Sony does indeed support indie developers eg: Sony pub fund, but there are ridiculous requirements that must be met beforehand that turns most small indie developers away;

1. There is no free software tools for creating PSN games period, unlike XNA (although you do have to pay $100 a year to put your XNA games on XBL).

2. The PS3 development kit costs in excess of $1000 and without it you cannot create or por...
