This "Peckham-Pouncer" guy makes A LOT of sense, seriously!
Cancelling out a products year head start in sales over the competition is pure genius. We should only start collecting sales data when all products similar in functionality (OS, Media Players, Consoles, HD TVs etc) are released.
Sure, reality MAY want us too "take a seat over there.." but we are PS3 fans, so screw reality.
While we're at it, why don't we ...
Yes I heard about that, MoH ships with firmware 3.42 or requires that you download it which kills the exploit. But just like Apples 4.0.2 firmware for idevices a new exploit or workaround will be found.
The other option is to just not buy MoH. Which I'm sure a lot of people who haven't even used the PSJailbreak will be doing.
So now it's delayed in Russia, Europe and the US. Does the delay have anything to do with GT5s minor technical issues or is it a shipping problem?
edit @PirateThom:
Worldwide? And no reasons have been given so far? I see a early 2011 release for some reason.
Now fanboys can claim their <insert console> is outselling <insert console> in US, because their local store has sold more <insert console> than <insert console>. Just like they do with every other territory that doesn't have monthly hardware sales.
@militant07: I'm not surprised, Pennywise is a huge hypocrite just look through his post history.
Anyway, I wasn't expecting CoD: Black Ops pre-orders on PS3 to be more than GT5, though this is VGChartz. Maybe it's different worldwide?
Fable III third? I would have thought Medal of Honor would claim that spot.
Why would a delay be a bad thing? GT5 (from what I've read) has a few technical issues. A delay would be beneficial.
That's NOT what GG says - http://n4g.com/news/618779/...
MOVE is nothing but a pointless add-on in KZ3. GG are even thinking of using separate servers for Move and DS players - http://n4g.com/news/622...
Well, Black Ops is spread across multiple platforms (PC, PS3, X360 and Wii + DS). So if it didn't outsell Halo: Reach and Killzone 3, then that truly would be newsworthy.
The summary of this article is pure flamebait.
IMHO the PS3 offers more in terms of a multi media device than the 360 simply because it supports Bluray and the 360 does not.
But I do agree that the PS3 is losing ground as the dominant Bluray player, as MANY standalone Bluray players are cheaper than the PS3.
I don't know. Previously having access to the KZ2, LBP and UC2 beta for free and now having to pay for what WAS once free, doesn't seem worth it to me.
I'm looking forward to playing this on my PC.
NO!
If new PS3 owners weren't paying for it, it would cease to exist. Best Buy have ruined notion that new PS3 owners are smart consumers.
"I don't see a lot of hardcore gamers lining up to buy something that can't go beyond on-rails games right now"
I don't see a lot of "hardcore" gamers lining up to play with a wand (move) or no-buttons (Kinect).
Also what were your feelings on motion controls BEFORE the announcement of Move/Kinect? Casual? The fact that these companies offer the ability to choose a control pad or motion controls in enabled games says Move and K...
There, I just saved you a click :)
edit: The only difference I see is brightness, I could be wrong though.
"In order to declare a winner we must first define what success is. Is it units sold? Is it attachment percent? Or maybe its related software sales? In the context of this article my definition of success is none of the above but instead will be which device I think will provide a superior gaming experience."
I respect the authors opinion. Because that's all it is.
HD remakes = No hope of backwards compatibility returning to PS3 EVER!
This whole HD remake situation on the PS3 (to me) is like, collecting water from around a mountain, boiling it and selling it to mountain folk (who collect water the same way except it isn't boiled.....yet).
Has anyone ever wondered why there were no PSone collections (with extra features etc) on the PS2? Yep you guessed it, the PS2 was backwards compatible.
What does ...
I'm guilty of that, I didn't really enjoy KZ2 (single player & multi player) so I traded it in 1 week later. I MAY give KZ3 a try (maybe rent it and if I like it then I'll buy it).
I'm sure a port would be welcomed by PC & 360 gamers.
Glitch Turismo 5! /Just kidding
The amount of glitches that have been found in GT5 are usually found after launch in many games, but are later patched anyway. As GT5 has yet to release expect them to be ironed out by launch.
It's no big deal really, just a huge slap in the face to those who call developers "lazy" because of a few glitches. You know who you are...
