What makes me laugh in terms of PS3 fanboys is their fear that MS or M$ will monopolize the gaming industry, but at the same time praise Sony for buying out independent studios and IPs.

A quick google search brings up the date "June 14 2010". Does that date have any relevance here?
From what I remember, Heavy Rain was planned for a multiplatform release from the start. Up until Sony showed a vested interest in QDs Mo-cap tech that they would also be implementing into Heavy Rain. Sony then approached QD and offered to offset the cost of development and publishing in exchange for exclusivity.
There was some what proof that this was the case, on QDs official website (sometime in 2008 before the site redesign) under mocap it listed SCE as a "Customer&...
