Lol the Xbox One has barely avoided flop status. Making it past those sales is essentially confirming that Nintendo has made it through the starting gate. Regardless, if you immediately associate fizzled out with nothing but sales, you should probably take a step back from the numbers and actually pay attention to the system itself.

To me, the Switch started out strong but has really fizzled out past the first year. At the beginning, first party offerings were strong enough (Zelda and Mario in particular) and the system was still unique enough that shortcomings could easily be looked past. Then the reality of this being a Nintendo console really set in.

Third party offerings have ridden a strange reluctant line like with the Wii U. It's mostly ports of older games, often at weirdly marked up prices...

What would be the point? Sales wouldn't even be worth the cost of porting, promotion, and distribution.

Saying this is a perfect 10/10 game and justifying it by saying "well it's my subjective opinion" is exactly why this review is worthless. I'm sorry, but basic tenants of reviewing something are to approach it as objectively as possible, understanding what may be negative points for others even if they aren't for you, and realizing that your personal experience is unlikely to be perfectly mirrored by any other person. If I was someone trying to figure out how good the ga...

It's an MMO. The series isn't popular enough in the rest of the world to try to push this. It's unfortunate but it's the truth. DQ X seems to have struggled enough in Japan during its early days as it is, though it clearly has a stable fan base now.

Lol imagine that someone makes a logical argument, and the only response is built on logical fallacy. gg I guess on the wordplay, but you didn't actually refute anything I said lol

They've been practically giving away the service for free since it launched to exceedingly lackluster offerings and features in general. Not to mention the service is already much cheaper annually than PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold even without the steep discounts. This is one of those brags that, once broken down, actually makes Nintendo look a bit pathetic. I'd love to know how many people locked in for a year that already have absolutely no interest in renewing.

The biggest differences between the two:

- In Spider-Man, movement is fluid, fun, and simply amazing. In RDR2, movement feels stiff, getting around the map is more just a requirement than any kind of fun, and little things constantly hurt the pace.

- In RDR2, the story is this vast thing that the developers were so focused on telling, gameplay frequently takes a backseat. In Spider-Man, gameplay is up front, and the majority of cut scenes aren't overl...

Your comment leaves a pretty big clue that you didn't actually play the game, or are pretending you beat it when you didn't.

Don't doubt the author. Impressions of the Switch version are overwhelmingly negative, from the graphics which took a huge hit to simply how the game plays, which is significantly lesser for a myriad of reasons. The Switch version needed way more time in the oven.

This definitely caught my eye when I saw the trailer, and it makes me happy that the game is just as fun and silly as it looked. This is absolutely on my radar to see about picking up on release.

A good list of games, a few that actually passed me by or I heard about then forgot to do any follow up. For those that care like me, this is also a list all on one page, so kudos for that as well.

This is the thing. People see ports of years old games, indies, and one or two genuinely new major third party releases and go "wow third party support!" This ignores the fact that tons of major releases have and will continue to miss the Switch, many of the third party ports have ended up being objectively the worst way to play the game unless portability is a major selling point to the individual, and the majority of Indi titles end up on whatever marketplaces will take them to in...

This may be portable, but I'm pretty sure Witcher 3 is going to definitively prove that not everything needs the Switch treatment.

Calling E3 the biggest gaming event anymore doesn't mean a whole lot in a time where everyone is running live streams and releasing trailers at their own pace

Hollow Knight is the best Metroidvania that I've played in a very long time. If you haven't checked it out, very recommended.

PS3 would still be a monumental task. The unique architecture was powerful, and compensating for that is something that is still heavily WIP on the PC emulator side of things. No reason they can't do software based emulation for PS1 and PS2 though with the ability to read discs from the drive.

The current smart money is on a PSX announcement with a launch in Spring around the end of the current fiscal year, so March or April. That allows a hopefully strong start into the next fiscal year while giving time to work out any issues in the months leading up to the holiday season.

I found my first hoard there as well. Ended up activating the NERO building, saying screw the speakers, grabbed the injection, then sprinted back to my bike and plowed through five freakers in my mad rush to escape. Also found myself surrounded by four at the bike and used my nail modified baseball bat to clean house with enough life left to heal and get going safely.

If SE is incredibly dumb, they'll keep the content for the Switch exclusive. If they're smart and realize that is a shit practice heading into 2020, they'll bring the content to the PC and PS4 versions as a free content update after they've given the Switch version some time to sell. They won't compromise the chance to get double dippers, but ideally they won't compromise future sales because they'll definitely have lost mine if they choose to screw over the previo...
