No is the answer to that.
Was saying this yesterday, DICE were very sketchy on how they worded things which lead to people believing there would be a multiplayer demo this week for all platforms but they were instead just referring solely to the PC Beta. It's a pity that not everyone will get to see the improvements they've made from the closed beta.
I have to say it's really starting to shape up, feeling alot tighter than it did back in the closed beta. I wasn't impressed at all back then. But i've just finished a 2 hour session on the Open Beta, settings maxed out - a ton of fun, the teamwork of slowly pushing up the map together feels awesome. The game sounds absolutely amazing too. DICE have my preorder.
But no where did EA say that, only the site itself. Then go to the Source which is a Kotaku article and again no mention of the PS3 or 360 getting a demo. That said i'm not saying it won't hit the platforms, EA have been extremely unclear with this but as it stands the only clear platform announced for the demo/beta is the PC.
No where in the article does it state the demo is hitting PSN. All it says is 'play the demo next week' which is referring to the Open Beta on PC which launches tomorrow - 4th October.
Seems to be some confusion over this quote as i've seen it elsewhere days ago. It's abit unclear what is meant but i'm pretty sure the demo is only hitting the PC - could be wrong, but thats the impression I get from their twitter and other articles.
Its not an old video though, its from Eurogamer Expo which is still going on today - Oct 1st to Oct 3rd. However it is probably the same build that the older video saw being played.
Ah just realised they've done one for the 360 vs PC too :)
Although that stat is total nonsense it is the case with DR2 which is what confuses me. Why have DF picked the PS3 version to compare with the PC version when they already did an article which showed it was the inferior of the 2 console versions - http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Seems abit stupid, theres nothing to prove.
Indeed we do. Not only that but theres a ton of titles hitting next year, you know...multiplatform games?
Indeed Meerkat is correct. It'll just simply be a marketing deal, just like the Call of Duty adverts never mention the PS3.
It's only a name change. But man it sucks...finally someone had the balls to name it as it is then some people start whining and they change it back to the same name every other game pussyfoots around it with.
When they're selling the game for £29.97 as standard, having 3 games which are all worth £30+ is a useless trade.
Article is late... Multiplayer video is already out at GT - http://www.gametrailers.com...
I don't think it's any one guy. Pretty much every gaming media site out there is talking about it! It's like an internet gaming wide phenomenon at the moment, and rightly so.
Have to agree with Dirty. IE9 is actually really really nice too, i've been using it all the time since the beta hit.
What a fail article, whos this insider, the authors dad? The reason the 360 doesnt have an Internet Browser is so that they can have apps like Hulu, Facebook, Last.fm, Twitter etc etc. Therefore controlling the content on there - business decision.
Don't know about you but i've used my PS3 Browser about twice in the years i've had it. It's much easier just to use my phone if i'm ever in a situation where my PC isn't on...
That's because Japanese people would rather swing swords with big round eyes and fly robots. It's no surprise the sales were low, the same for any shooter over there!
Black Ops? I think the games which gamers planning on buying TW2 would possibly get instead is more likely to be Gothic 4, Fable 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
It's weird to think originally Heavenly Sword was a 360 exclusive, then switched over. There's prototype screens on the internet of the game running on a 360. Enslaved looks to pretty much be dead on for each platform, the difference is utterly miniscule which is awesome. Multiplat games being identical is a great thing :)
It's a nice deal but the payment only comes out after the current period of subscription on the account ends. Which for someone like me means i'd suddenly get a £64 charge in April 2011 by which point i'll have totally forgotten about it - being a student thats not ideal.
