Thats because they can't with the state it's currently in! Says alot about the quality of the game when even the company creating it know they can't be charging a subscription fee for it.
I'll be very surprised if they don't adopt a F2P model of some sorts.
This has been out like a year...
Shameless hits article. Some PS3 gamers are facing a few issues such as freezing every now and then but it is most certainly not 'unplayable', just an annoyance. Every MMO faces some issues at launch, this is just a given.
And the HDD install space required is clearly labelled on the back of the box.
Sadly the damage is already done. No progression has been made in 7 years, infact it's a step backwards in many regards to FF11. The only area which progressed were the visuals.
Expect the payment model of FFXIV to change in 2011
I hate the misconceptions about this game. LA Noire is NOT developed by Rockstar. It is being PUBLISHED by Rockstar and DEVELOPED by Team Bondi - an Australian developer. People need to drop preconceptions of GTA4 and Red Dead because it is an entirely different developer.
I actually want to give this a shot and see what changes have been made, but the thing stopping me is signing up to some crappy f2p company-wide account.
Battlefield 3 is being developed for the Xbox 360, PS3 AND PC. The sad fact is that the money is in the console versions, which means they'll do what any business would do and develop for them in mind.
@Blindfromthesun - the reason for it is because it actually draws power directly from where the 360 is getting it's power from too. If it was USB the 360 could regulate it, but it was designed to steal power as it went into the 360. This caused the melting issues and was extremely dangerous to the 360.
I'm assuming they've fixed this now. Still the new 360's are perfectly cool, this is totally pointless!
Pointless article? They're both identical but Homefront's actually lets you play online but just for the first 5 levels.
I understand why they're doing this, but I'm not a huge fan. I do however want to support the developers. I just think things such as the BFBC2 VIP Code and Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network giving players 'extra' content is a much better way to do this rather than what effectively is penalising some legit buyers.
Worried BF3 will just turn out like Bad Company, not that Bad Company is a bad game, infact I love it. But one of my greatest online experiences is with BF2 on the PC, a true sequel to that would be truly amazing.
Thanks for that wonderful contribution.
Back on topic - sucks that it's a HMV exclusive, I don't know of 1 person who uses them.
nice failed troll attempt
Sadly this may be the case
It is now :) They were just abit slow
Powerful enough to melt in your hands too. I had a chuckle reading that headline
Coop would be cool but I'd be very surprised if they jumped into the MMO space and still had it titled as the fifth in the series, as opposed to something like 'The Elder Scrolls Online'. Sure it's been done with titles like FF11/14 but it's not very common.
Indeed and FF14 will be F2P by the end of next year at the latest.
Comparison images would help too
All Valve games should be played on PC, but it's great for those that can't!
