this kind of thing pisses me off to no end. You already can play as the taliban for years and years in games, the difference is theyre simply not 'labeled' as taliban. Hats off to dice for finally having the balls to label the truth rather than try pussyfoot around it.
put simply - yes. Its not a necessity no, but the experience is significantly better following on from the second with all the decisions and meeting of past characters. If Ps3 gamers are getting into the series then thats something they shouldnt miss out on.
2012 and talking about exclusive dlc....
Only North America too, total suck!
Game looks like complete crap. Churning out the same old stuff over and over again. This has been out since 2006 in Japan.
Some fanboys really need to get a grip.
Thats still like 45 seconds....not exactly fast.
Your point being? By this year I meant this year so far, theres still some great titles to come thats for sure :)
SC2 is one of the best games of this year. A genuine copy deserves to be in every PC gamers collection.
Precisely Stoney. Not to mention the campaign is downright awesome. I'm not a fan of RTS campaigns what so ever, I usually play a few missions then never touch it again. I've always played RTS games for the Multiplayer. But this campaign is absolutely fantastic so far, I'm about 4 hours in and every mission is totally unique. The story elements and dialog is also so well done. Just a top notch title, one of the best games this year no doubt.
Rarity to not see a thread on N4G filled to the brim with Sony fanboys. Looks like people are really getting hyped for Reach!
There are no premium maps or content atm. Blizzard said at Blizzcon they are looking at opening a marketplace of sorts on Battle.net for people to charge small amounts for top notch pieces of content/mods. They gave the example that DoTa would NOT be something good enough to charge for - and thats a full blown genre now, so don't expect to be paying for little maps. Currently the system isn't in place, and theres tons of custom maps already on there such as tower defence and even side...
Also a newb at SC :( Protoss i've taken a warm too yesterday. I know i'll never be good at Zerg.
It IS complete. The campaign is larger than most campaigns in games nowerdays and has some absolutely fantastic story cinematics which you just don't see in RTS titles usually. The expansions are EXPANSIONS, they offer a new campaign (just like company of heroes for example?!) and will have new units in the multiplayer. They will be priced as expansion packs - confirmed. Quit whining.
Incomplete is utter bullshit. The campaign is like 30 odd missions long, and the multiplayer is completely feature complete. If they hadn't had announced 2 expansions coming out in the future noone would be whining. What a load of twoddle.
Me and my buddies have been playing online a tonnnnn yesterday and had an absolute blast. Battle.net is super super slick, no problems whatsoever only praises.
IGN gave it 5.5 but alot of other sites are giving it pretty average reviews. Always thought it looked totally mediocre. Unimpressed looking deeper into Castlevania too being just 6 levels of 30 minute timelimits :( Lets hope Monday Night Combat is as good as it looks
Have to agree, the lack of skybox etc. I think the whole charm and atmosphere the game conveys is from its top down perspective, looks like putting it in first just loses all that. Awesome game though :) Hope the modding community really takes to it.
Yeah you better check that dude. Old buggy drivers can be the cause of BSOD's too. Sometimes the BSOD message itself will indicate which driver is causing the problem, if thats the case. I recommend updating all your major drivers, if that doesn't work you've got some kind of bigger issue
Yeah I'm actually loving 7 so far, 64-bit Professional version here. I absolutely hated Vista but they've got it right with 7.
bubble for truth
