lag is run more by you connection point and condition, the internet condition and the PC speed and the gfx settings you use than anything unless thew servers are so underpowered that they cant handle the load. Yes when you get alot of people in an area it lags the servers but I am betting they anticipated this since it is one of their selling points. lag will exist. Minimizing it is the goal.

DUde the schematics for the chips in the Xb360 belongs to Microsoft. They leased ATI engineers to execute the plans. Try reading up a little. They did it so that they aren't tied to ATI to manufacture the chips they can use like Taiwan Semiconductor, or any number of other companies to make the chips for way cheaper than ATI would. MS owns the plans to the C1. not ATI. That was a lesson they learned on the xbox1.

They are doing this because they consider that if they sell 10 million consoles they are at about the break even point to miniturize and slash the price. MS has already said they are making the smaller chips and as such it will contribute to their ability to lower the price due to the fact they are getting a higher yield on chips due to being able to manufacture more per waffer. Sony has said they can miniturize next year also. But i doubt it will be before christmas 2007.
The C1 and Hollywood were developed by 2 completely different teams that had no communication with each other. I know there was a situation with the CPU or GPU on the 360 where a guy was fired immediately for emailing across the teams. You are dealing with companies that are in competition with each other, they are most definately not sharing information between the teams. Nintendo and Microsoft have stated that about the gfx chipsets.

It would be funny if Nintendo did trick Sony and MS though and played the Possum and rolled over playing dead and then blew em away. But with the size of the system I don't see it having the power. The system board for the Gamecube was lonely and small but DAMN how could they pack something along the lines of PS3 and XB360 into a box half their size. We shall see though. It doesn't matter. When you license a game (buy it at a store) it is fully in your rights to sell, or trade the license (read that as the media (DVD)) should you like. You are not buying the intellectual property you are buying the right to use a copy of their intellectual property (read: play the game) and if you don't want to you can sell or trade those rights away.
