Wow. You might have given it at least a week before selling it and wasting your money. Especially with all the free content that is coming out week to week.
Butthurt? Over Space Engineers? Really?
Has there been a vast groundswell of public desire for Space Engineers that I hadn't been aware of?
Perhaps people disagreed with his post because the list was of titles that were being showcased at TGS, and the fact that Fez was included in the PS Plus instant game collection is entirely irrelevant.
I'm not sure if it's because of any particular agenda or not, but you sure jumped to conclusions quickly.
But if Xur is in the tower, who's attacking the Frontier with the Ko-Dan armada?
What problems on PSN? I've been playing for the past couple days solid with no issues.
Unplayable? What have I been playing for days then?
You can still play all the AAA games on PS4, but you'll also have the choice of all kinds of indie games as well. Nobody likes having less choice.
Indie developers would not be signing "exclusive" deals with Sony if not for Microsoft's id@Xbox parity clause literally driving them to their competition.
It is time for Microsoft to admit that their parity clause has done them more harm than good, and give it up.
I enjoyed the Alpha, the Beta, and am enjoying the hell out of the game. Even once I get through all the content and the level 20+ content, I'm still on board for the expansions and extra content that comes with it. I've never been much for online play, but me and my co-op friends are having a blast.
Over. 10. Years.
The $500 million figure that is being tossed around has not been spent on just this game, and a large portion of which hasn't been spent at all yet.
Not every indie developer has the time, manpower or resources to program for multiple platforms simultaneously, and it is usually that early release that funds development for other platforms.
It doesn't help that Microsoft still has their parity clause in place, forcing indie developers who want to eventually release on both systems to sign a timed "exclusive" agreement with PS3/PS4.
Ironically, the loophole in the id@Xbox contract that allow...
@Death: Losing ground more slowly isn't the same thing as gaining ground. The difference in install base is still increasing.
I don't think it's quite going to be that big a blowout, but Uncharted 4 will make people buy a PS4.
I don't think Rise of the Tomb Raider will make people buy an Xbox One, especially if it's being sold in the same month as Uncharted. :)
@Volkama: It made you appreciate that you had 3 console failures within your warranty window. I wouldn't consider that a positive.
"which Sony has done many times"
Sony purchased studios that were making games that were released exclusively on their platforms because they had a long history of collaboration and mutual support.
That's not what I would consider the equivalent to finding an established multiplatform brand and buying out the studio to own it.
There isn't a Halo game out there that tops 10 hours for the campaign. If you're playing this sort of FPS for the campaign alone, this isn't any different. But most people buy these games for the multiplayer, the exploration, and the added content. I spent far more than 10 hours in the Beta, and only had 2 missions. I can't wait to get into the full game.
@_-EDMIX-_ : Game reviewers did not get their games until yesterday. They didn't have a month jump on the release as they did with most games.
You can also remap them to the touchpad on the bottom. That's a lot more intuitive for most.
"And as a bit more recent example, we’re now seeing the very LGBT-friendly Sims 4 get thoroughly slammed by critics."
The Sims 3 was also very LGBT-friendly and it wasn't slammed by critics.
It also wasn't an *awful* game.
5. Billion. Transistors.
@dennett316: Just because YOU think I'm being defensive, doesn't mean I am.
