@Stiffler: Well yes and no. They only sold 74k Xbox Ones in that week, and I strongly doubt that 100% of those were the Sunset Overdrive bundle.
Not to stir up the pot, because I really feel do feel bad for Insomniac who hasn't really had a successful game since Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. These guys really do deserve to be a prosperous multiplatform studio and just can't seem to find their feet.
Should have skipped 3 and played 4. This one... I'm still on the fence about.
Considering how early Far Cry 4 was playable, I don't think that it will suffer the same issues as Unity. Far Cry runs on an entirely different engine, and considering how awesome Far Cry 3 was, I can't wait.
Unity on the other hand is the latest in a yearly franchise that is trading regularity for innovation and QA. I'd rather it come out every second year rather than rushing to assemble a bug ridden mess.
@ginganinja: Ironically, Microsoft's partnership with Ubisoft on AC Unity may have backfired in this respect.
God, I wish they'd done a version of Valkyria Chronicles II for PS3. Lucky it works on Vita too. :)
In response to your comment above, November 15, 2013.
You may have missed the fact that Gaikai's technology was built into the PS4's hardware. They've been using it for Remote Play with the Vita since launch, well before the release of v2.0. That same technology is what drives the functionality of PS Now and Share Play.
"Whodathunk?!"
That's not fantastic for such a highly rated exclusive game.
It doesn't look like this article links to anything.
"Filled with Problems" apparently means "I'm upset that I can't glitch to win anymore".
Based on and voiced by as well. He's probably more famous for the game (sadly) than he is for BSG.
Johnny Knoxville, Cary Grant, and Harrison Ford all went into Nathan Drake.
One of these things is not like the others.
I believe you may want to look up the word "generic", because I do not think it means what you think it means.
What is "forced combat"? Parts of the game where you have to fight things? Doesn't that describe any game with an antagonist?
As for an "extreme emphasis on graphics and not gameplay", you have no basis for that statement other than the fact that the graphics look awesome. Since the most recent playable build is ab...
That's the joke.
Gaikai. Look it up.
@Kingdomcome247: Because it's a lot easier for a modder to re-texture a higher resolution building which isn't animated, and is a basic shape with straight lines so it doesn't need a new model.
For a person, they'd have to re-create the model with more polygons to ensure a more lifelike image at higher resolution (possibly the animation as well) and then also re-texture it as well to match the new model. Its a lot more work, and there are a ton of NPC types. E...
And yet it's supported by games that were released prior to the feature's existence. There's something that we're not being told here.
DESTROY ALL HUMANS!
I still play my copy of Phantasy Star, even though I had to do some surgery a few years back to replace the battery backup.
Timely.
Add in the cost of the console exclusive games that aren't available on PC and the cost of console REALLY starts to add up.
