But the length of time on that support is a valid concern. Look at what happened with the original Xbox. Support dried up in four years because the PS2 was too entrenched. I'd think that a potential customer looking at the sales numbers of the Xbox One would have to think about the possibility of that happening again before buying a console.
I think Wolfenstein: The New Order was a better shooter, honestly. It reminded me what a good FPS should be.
Insomniac also owns the Fuse IP, and it was multiplatform. Sunset Overdrive is an exclusive because Microsoft wrote a big check, and Insomniac needed an infusion of cash after Fuse tanked. Simple as that.
Alternately they are disagreeing because there are some console exclusives that never come to PC. Perhaps you could consider that before jumping to incorrect conclusions and insulting people.
@livininsin: SilentNegotiator hit most of the points but missed the DDR3 RAM instead of DDR5 and $70 worth of rebates that you factored in. Hardly an equivalent system.
I don't think they'll be in a position to deny service.
Axios, I've seen you make this same comment on several threads. So I tell you what, compare 13 countries to 13 countries. Out of the 13 countries that the Xbox One is available in, PS4 is outselling it in every single one. You can't debunk that.
Now, just because the Xbox One is being outsold, that doesn't mean that Halo MCC isn't going to be awesome, or that somehow your choice is wrong. Microsoft has some good offerings, and you should enjoy them. It isn'...
I'll turn off adblock for sites whose content I enjoy and want to support.
This is not one of those sites.
Alpha Protocol was actually brilliant and flawed all at the same time. I was really holding out hope for a sequel for Obsidian to really shake out the bugs and make a fantastic game.
I'm holding out for an X-Wing / TIE reboot, or even an old school Wing Commander remake. :)
Considering Lizard Squad said directly that they were DDoSing Xbox Live, I'm not how you can say they weren't.
Regularly does not indicate "in perpetuity". Something can be perfectly regular until it eventually stops.
I doubt that they could, otherwise any coverage related to Microsoft would have a substantial disclosure that would be tagged to every article. It would be difficult for anyone to believe they could be impartial under the circumstances.
I agree, and I'd probably also put the STALKER series in that same category. If only they'd sort out their ownership rights, I'd love to see the same sort of treatment that Metro got on the current-gen consoles/PC.
I would say that Sony is not being targeted or affected more than any of the other recipients of Lizard Squad's attention. However, the media immediately jumps on the "PSN is Down" bandwagon because of the 2010 hack and the media circus that became. A second "hack" is major clickbait, while Battle.net having connection issues is really only important to its users.
@Funatic1: At the time of this posting Xbox Live is being messed with as well. http://support.xbox.com/en-...
Tired of pseudoanarchists who need to destroy something to feel better about themselves.
Aside from the Lizard Squad DDoSing everything the last couple days, the PS4 has been very impressive. The only change that I've experienced, is that games that crash due to a bug will usually crash to an error message rather than locking up your entire system as it did in previous generations. Which is actually a good thing, since the system can send crash reports to the maker of the software and you don't have to do a hard restart of your whole system to start gaming again.
What's weird is that I was able to log into PSN multiple times yesterday while people kept saying it was "down". A lot of people are blowing this out of proportion.
There are some people who are so zealous in their devotion to one group or another that they'll put disagrees on every thread they find in the opposite camp. Usually with a few alts for good measure.
You can't take it seriously.
It sounds as though they had the same demo on display at PAX as was shown to the media back at E3 way back in June.
