same here with the 60gb backwards compat model. when the ps3 first launched I saw the need to be able to play the older games as the selection of titles around launch time were slim, but playing ps2 games on the ps3 now is not needed. they look like shit when you upscale them on an hdtv and kill my eyes trying to play them. I have to bust out Socom 2 every now and then just because but if they ever offer a Socom2hd re(make/master) I will fork over some cash for it.

this is not Socom. It is a cheap rip off 3rd person MAG. From the maps down to the leveling up of the weapons I dont think Zipper made anything original for this game that they did not already use for MAG right down to the damn maps.

Yeah we are voicing our opinions on a Socom game that is NOT a Socom game. We didnt want MAG in 3rd person, the majority wanted a Socom 2 feel with new maps/objectives/etc... not taking a sledgehammer to all the stuff that wasnt broke to change it because the casual crowd might buy it.
I am all for change if it creates a better game, but you dont change a winning formula...and that is all that they have continued to do since the glory days. Halo plays like Halo, God of War ...
Nothing at all like Socom 2. If anything this game is a shell of MAG in 3rd person. This game plays nothing like the Socoms of old, its a cash in on the name in order to spur some buys from people who are not that tech saavy and will pick it up on the hope that it will be something it is not.
Reminds me of operation flashpoint. Bunch of false promises to hype it up release it to scavenge some cash....promise fixes release some dlc a week or two after release and ride off into the sunset.

thats my view on this as well....you have to keep updating your saves on both systems and it become a hassle. this is a simple way to allow us to manage the saves now.

This psp is gonna kick some ass. The backwards compatibility along with the new lineup of the megahits that dont look to be too far behind from the ps3 graphic wise I think stands to make sony a ton of money. One can just hope that they drop their prices on the digital only titles to get them on pace with what I can buy a new umd at amazon/wal mart etc...
