why should they spend time and money on backwards compatiblility when they could add features that would enhance THIS GENERATION game experience. You people piss me off with that lame ass excuse. If you would have been an early adopter like me you could have had your BC and used it when there were not many games out at first release.

no its not illegal. in all TOS on games they state somewhere that they reserve the right to modify/cancel service at any time. basically once you press the agree button you are screwed. if they wanted to turn around the week after release they could shut down the servers. hell would be raised, perhaps someone would look out for the consumer but they have the right according to the 96 pg TOS agreement you have to skim through when signing up/or that is hidden online in the back of the man...
I would like to see them carry over the maps from the existing games. They have already been completed its a matter of copy and pasting and compressing the map to the new game. It allows more variety and would help image a little bit by throwing some freebies at us. I could understand if they wanted to charge for the new maps for MW2 but not the ones that they had already released. Motion controls dont need to be incorporated into every game I agree. Imagine how bad ass a fight night round 4 type boxing game be with motion controls compared to jiggling the analogue sticks for punches or watching little weeble wobbles point in the direction of a face. I would much rather be bobbing and weaving while throwing/dodging punches then wearing my analogue sticks out. agree with all the snipers, a huge pain in the ass. I wish they would add a filter to allow to play without snipers or seeing as how they are such a huge pain in the ass for this game give them an extended respawn time. I think 20 seconds or more would discourage some from sitting on the top of the mountain and spawn sniping.
The one good thing they did with the sniper aspect is to get rid of the prone. I couldnt imagine how awful this would be if you get a bunch of thos...

GOW 3 was a really good game, but I have got a lot more out of Red Dead and I never play the multiplayer short of free roam.

The list forgot about releasing games before they were finished and then patching them on the fly. Unlike some games that are ready for a month and then have to "launch" on a certain day to create mass hysteria or to trick consumers into buying a junk ass game (GTA4), others that need extra time to be finished/tested then released are rushed out the door to make a quick buck only to screw the community who purchased it.

this is where the problem lies with porting. If they would go to the most extreme and then tone down, take out/compress everything that wont fit on one format version rather than try to make the same shoddy version so it plays everywhere the same we wouldnt have problems like this with mutli plat games. stop buying and start renting until they get the hint.

definite agree from me on the quality they put out. its nice to actually play with the developers of a game as well. I have played with several of them and can say they are all cool as hell and actually give a damn about their community.
after this is complete I would love to see them venture into a non sci fi type shooter game, perhaps a 3rd person Socom type game please :)

because they chose the easy check route by going xbox exclusive at a time when there was not much out to compete with it, now they are fighting with Medal of Honor/new Red Dead Redemption/Black Ops...they might as well not even release it. Totally fix what broken mess they intended on releasing late to the ps3 crowd (which was the code sentence for timed excusivity), add a single player element and release it next year under a different name.
