I thought the same thing with the move controls. They have to make at least an analog dongle or something to get it off the ground. It is a fun thought to just use movements for games such as this but you really need to be able to move around and back and forth and this can only be done with a controller of some sort unless they make up a motion capture suit add on device. Thinking like the ea active type arm/leg bands idea. Maybe they will allow use of the normal controller to at least u...
Good and bad, an ipod touch has what like 32-64gb on board. I am wondering if they are gonna make up with the low price point of the device by charging an arm and a leg for the memory like when the psp first came out.
Heres hoping that this memory base is a little more moderate priced this go around
Flash/youtube/netflix/hulu/pdf e book reader support would be awesome. I would really like to see apps for this, I will definitely be picking one of these up.
I am curious about the 3g aspect. Do I have to purchase a sim card from att? I am already a customer is it included with my plan? What is the size of on-board memory, I realize the use of flash cards but damn is it gonna be like the psp with those lame ass cards that I gotta swap in and out to play or will there be e...
love...Really? this thing looks way too gimmicky. Remember the nintendo that used the periscope made in the late 90's. It was a burden, I think this will be a big dent for nintendo unless they bust out some sort of power pad 3d immersion device.
pick up a magazine, an ugly white one at that...add about a pound of weight to it and buttons in really odd positions. this thing is a doctors dream, carpal tunnel anyone? I bought into the wii gimmick but this thing, no way....
how much storage is the vita gonna have...was that ever announced?
this thing is gonna be amazing, they got my money as soon as it hits shelves.
I could understand the consoles being id'd because they contain serial numbers, but how in the blue hell do they think they could track a game. Are there different serial numbers on the spine of each game?
If I remember all the numbers were the same on the ps2 games, I have not purchased a second copy of a game since then with the bluray disc not scratching.
If they are all the same numbers then, I would like to report all my ps3 games stolen and would like them ...
I am glad they went multi. They can make some more money, hire more staff, get better resources..etc... It finally gives them a chance to show off what they can offer for the gamers of other consoles as well. The dudes at insomniac are cool as hell, I played with several of them when the first resistance released many times. They actually played their game, and interacted with their consumers. They would talk with fans on the forums, and you could also talk with them in game. They would ...
im with you on that. i actually went to a midnight launch for that game and was disgusted by how bad the controls were. the graphics were sharp, but trying to control the character and cars was a chore in itself.
red dead redemption fixed the controls and made it a little bit better, but unless they change up the handling to allow my guy to turn when I press the button, punch when I want, actually be able to steer the damn car then I will pass on it. it will be a rental r...
socom fireteam bravo can finally be enjoyed now with the dual sticks...this will bring a whole new life to some of the old titles
I will lob this softball up for someone to hit. Not one single inch of the launch model ps3's with backwards compat and linux mention anything about linux support. Its nowhere to be found, you people act like it was a marketing ploy in order to make you buy it. It was an added feature, just like backwards compatiblilty. I can understand for the few who used it, sluggishly I guess but you can thank people who chose to steal shit and attempt to decompile the code of the ps operating sys...
@madjedi
Well said +bubs
Thats where it is going to lead with the government watchdog, now controlling everything we access on the web. Sites will be shut down, info will be skewered and it will be a pain in the ass to do what was once a simple task online because of these jerkoff types.
Text-ban while driving, handgun laws, etc...People are behind a 10,000 lb sledgehammer with their eyes on their lap rather than the kid using the crosswalk, or the...
@firetaw
careful you are using good logic with the spaceship approach to get the point across, bound to piss off the average troll around here. lol
good shit man +bubs
These jagoffs want to help out society by bringing down evil how about shutting down the child porn sites, help capture criminals or some shit. Do something useful, heres hoping one day a few of them get caught and get thrown to the wolves and if theres a god a few crazy ass...
An open application to hackers to now attempt to hack the xbox live service to get a job, this should go over well. Everyone direct your nearest hacker to xbox now and they can get paid with benefits/career to do what they love to do.
Might be a slippery road to travel for them, I can understand the little contests they have to attempt to develop better security measures but at what cost. All I can think about is Dennis Nedry (Newman) from Jurassic Park when it comes to the...
How dare you use logic :)
The same people who clamor for music in games are the same ones who throw a tantrum and expect me to have to use my cell phone/skype whatever when there are games that have garbage in game chat or have to mute the entire room to hear your buddies rather than having the option of XGC.
Wouldnt listening to music in games take away from the game experience? I am sure if your friend talking with you would have such a huge dramatic eff...
Big deal, its what they want to access correct? Some of you people kill me. Why would you not want to allow people to have a better experience if it has no effect on you whatsoever.
Make sure you sign up for itunes and let them tell you how to arrange your music, add and delete from your devices because what would we do if someone did not hold our hand.
try talking to teammates in Socom...those dipshits at zipper even screwed that up in Socom 4...unless you are in respawn, people dont talk unless you are in a clan room. I would love to see the xgc, for all you people who dont want it...
Tell me what does an added feature you dont have to take advantage of/participate in hurt if you choose not to use it but others will?
I dont need or use GPS in the car, yet wouldnt bitch about the inclusion if it was includ...
the ps3 version was a steaming pile of shit... it wasnt garbage it was god awful. the graphics were a step back, you couldnt connect to your friends for over a month when the game released, the lag was terrible, the mechanics were a step back. It was pure garbage on the ps3. Out of 12 people on my list that bought it on the ps3, only 2 people kept this game. We traded it in to amazon/gamestop/disc replay.
Good for you as a "sheeple" that you wanna play what the ...
All the god of war titles and if there is a god the socom titles will be porter over with online. If they use the 2 analogue sticks the ps3 has to let you finally aim then my socom dream may finally come true. The fireteam bravo games were much more faithful to the series than the Frankenstein monster of socom 4
the new god of war collection from the psp games for the ps3 would be nice
Hopefully that decision about the on board memory is re-evaluated. It will be a pain in the ass to have to put in hot spot info/wi fi/gamesaves/any apps that may be developed.
I can deal with the music, movies, games having to be put on the cards as that is how the psp is now. With so many different tech gadgets that are out now, I cant figure out a reason to not include some sort of onboard storage to at least save settings. Not including even a small amount would be dumb...
