Then how are thousands playing the public alpha as of a few days ago? The public alpha, mind you, that has almost all of the promised features of the game and that is on the brink of going open alpha? Seriously, how can people be so ignorant. They put out hours of development updates every month? That's the most expensive vaporware I've ever seen.

You must never watch any of their updates. They are making tons and tons of progress in the game. The ships are simply the pretty part that everyone can see.

Well it's a good thing these people aren't driven truly by revenue then huh? I want companies to make games they are ambitious about, not just that will make them the most revenue. That's called being anti consumer.

Gotta laugh at all the people still saying this is vaporware. This video and article are literally about the fact that the games alpha has just gone to public alpha. If you go on YouTube right now there are literally hundreds of people posting footage of them playing the game for testing. It still has a long way to go but the open alpha is likely only months away and will showcase almost everything the game has promised with the only element missing being the large universe that is still in d...

Anyone that says Nintendo puts out the same games all the time instantly loses all credibility. They change up they're gaming formula more than any other company and Botw and Odyssey are living proof of that. It's why Nintendo's old IPs are still relevant.

Yeah, they're super bored with Breath of the Wild, Arms, Splatoon, Mario Rabbids, NBA 2k, WWE, and the hundreds of indie games on the eShop many, many of which are highly rated. You're right, there is just nothing to play on the Switch.

You obviously don't actually play any of Nintendo's games and are now pretending to be an expert. If you really think every time Nintendo releases one of their huge IPs it's just an update on the same game you are hugely mistaken. Zelda changed things drastically, as did Odyssey. Nintendo changes each iteration of their games more drastically than any other company. Nintendo's games are not a yearly rerelease like COD or something like that.

DOA? Look at infographics? Here's a little infographic for you, the Switch is likely to beat the Wii U's lifetime sales in it's first year which puts it on track to match pace with the Wii. It's already almost halfway there and it still hasn't seen a holiday season. How can you be so ignorant?

We'll see how much of a "dieing market" the handheld gaming scene is if the Switch keeps up with it's crazy sales and game lineup the rest of this year. For being a dieing market a while crap ton of people are sure jumping on the band wagon...

Last time I checked the DS outsold the Gameboy. Might want to check your numbers there. So even though the 3DS didn't sell quite as well it's still doing terrific even though people keep claiming smart phones would destroy it. Quick making a fool of yourself man.

They actually post videos weekly on YouTube to show their progress. They are extremely transparent about what they are doing and anyone that thinks they aren't putting all that money to good use is closing their eyes. All the new footage they show literally weekly shows exactly where all that money is going. People don't seem to realize how many people are working on the title and the fact that that means a lot of money will be involved.

What on Earth does Blizzard have to do with EA? Blizzard makes stand out games in every genre they try and continue to support their games long after their release. They might charge a full blown price for it but they give quality games and listen to their fans constantly. Blizzard is nothing like EA. Not even close.

Seriously, it's like people don't understand that it's the normal path of Minecraft. When the console versions first came out they were stripped down versions of the Java edition that took a very long time to catch up. This is a new version of the game being built from the ground up to run on everything under the sun with cross play. It's gonna take some time to work out the serious kinks but once it does it's going to be glorious. A lot of people also don't seem to re...

When a game is so original and awe inspiring it takes a bit of time to let that fade and take a more critical look at it. To be honest I have never felt a sense of of awe, discovery, and freedom in such a way as breath of the wild. I do have some qualms with how easy the weapons break and the fact that you can't find awesome unbreakable versions throughout the game but the game still deserves it's truly high score because at the time of it's release it was truly a ground breaking ...

I'm a huge Nintendo fan but this was just hilarious. Love Ninty to death but boy is their online app terrible, lol.

Things become innovative when concepts that may or may not have been around for many years get executed so we'll that they popularize or change the view of the original concepts.
