Nintendo the publisher/developer is still one of the absolute best in the industry without question.
The issue is that there is a 300 dollar paywall to play JUST their games.
When someone buys a playstation ... they are not paying 300-400 JUST for Sony. They are paying 300-400 for Sony, EA, Activision, Capcom, UBIsoft, Bethesda, Take-Two, Warner Bros, Telltales, Konami, Namco, etc etc etc.
That's the Nintendo console problem since the N6...
Would you rather have had the game fully delayed until it is ready? Or are you happy you been able to play the core game for the most part ahead of time?
There are pros and cons to everything.
I can't believe you have 19 disagrees. That is the main reason why its now not an "option" but a requirement thus there is no reason to put triple A games on it anymore.
Microsoft help get people use to paying for online multiplayer.
Sony put the nail in the coffin and it is now 100% standard.
Nintendo doesn't count ... no third party support.
Aria of Sorrow is a masterpiece.
Circle of the Moon is excellent as well.
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow
Metroid Zero Mission
Metroid Fusion
Castlevania Circle of the Moon
The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap
^ These 5 are automatically in my top ten.
Incredible action/adventure games.
It's pretty simple ... don't like it? Don't buy it.
Never played the game before and feel the graphics are decent enough .... go ahead and buy it. It's a wonderful Zelda game.
Played and beat it before and feel its not a marked improvement? skip it. You already played it unless you just happen to have money to kill.
People do care about playing Mario ...
... they just don't (in general) want to pay 300 bucks for a system that only plays ONE publisher's games with any reliability.
Nintendo published titles sell more than Sony published titles for example.
Yet Sony's systems sell far more than Nintendo's. Why?
What moves PS4's is the third parties.
The Grand Theft Autos
The Fallouts

We will ... mostly likely Metroid NX by Retro.
Wii U launched with a few big names like Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed yet there were NO PLANS for Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto, Far Cry, Crysis, Metal Gear Rising, an actual current year Madden (they released a prior year Madden with current year stats). These are all games that could have been launch window titles that were coming to PS3 and 360 with no plans for a Wii U version ever. This before the sales of Wii U tanked.
Having a few third party games but missi...

I can keep going ...
In comparison to PS2 ... GCN had bad third party support. Better than N64 did ... but too little too late.
Getting Soul Calibur 2 with Link ... but not getting Tekken, Soul Calibur 3 even ... do you think that would ...
Nintendo hasn't had legit third party support since the SNES.
It's a credit to them to have survived this long with almost no support for multiple generations.
While people have said that ... PS4 is winning by a mile. Exclusives so far have not played a big role in who is winning.
9 out 10 best selling PS4 games are mutilplatform games.
This gen ... price point, DRM policies, always online policies or lack thereof have been bigger selling points. This is undebeatable.
Retro Studios released Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze in February 2014 ... they haven't released a game since while hiring multiple people for a big project.
I am pretty sure that project is Metroid and it will be ready to be shown at E3.
Whether it is Metroid or not, some Nintendo studios have been working on NX projects for a couple of years now.
They do ... but they are in another castle (ie NX).
I rather have a delayed Star Fox game WORTH playing than a mediocre experience now.
The game has not looked impressive so far and no I don't mean just the graphics.
So I really don't mind if it takes another year tbh. I want a GREAT Star Fox game again.
Are we judging games based on file size now? Super Mario 3D World is an incredible game this gen and its less than 10 gigs I believe.
If the game is amazing, that's all I care about.
I LOVE Bloodborne. I never played a Souls game. Seems I been missing out badly. Already got my Dark Souls 3 preordered. Can't freaking wait.
The game's GAMEPLAY is just sheer perfection. It feels like a more tactical beat em up combined with the sense of exploration of Super Metroid. Basically this is the best 3D Castlevania in many ways instead of a God of War/Devil May Cry ripoff like other 3D Castlevanias.
Bloodborne was my PERSONAL (ie ... d...

I think its not a must have for those that already have the game on Wii or GCN but if you never played it, this is a fantastic game that looks better now and even plays better too.
Hero mode alone is a big gameplay improvement as Zelda's combat while technically good ... was hurt by the fact that Link took way too little damage.
And if you want Dark Souls type of difficulty, there is Hero mode plus Amiiboo damage increase.
