The game was based on certain foundations. Those foundations defined the franchise and those SAME foundations is what led it to sell so massively well across its history.
They have done nothing more then a disservice to the fans and a "one glove size fits all" adventure game. Its aimed at a more casual demographic, (this is no questionable) and its a series that has lost its vision, its purpose to be.

...Its not that every ps3 game deserves a 10/10, its that the sheer amount of HIGHER scores handed out to the xbox for no "Logical" reason, is ridiculous. When you have Glitchy, Laggy, Short campaign games, scoring better then AMAZING gaming EXPERIENCES, you know something is wrong.

FFXII had TERRIBLE characters and too much freedom in character development, which always, takes away your emotional binds to the character.
Its better to have Certain characters who specialize in certain things and Remember them for "Who they are", rather then play "Build A bear" with characters, which does the very opposite of building a relationship between the player and character.

Everything that made a FF game so wonderful was stripped out. It deserves what it gets and i've already decided to pass. (shame too i'm a collector).

Sony's Studio lineup is filled with great developers, but their portfolio lacks balance in some categories, namely: Fighting, WRPG, JPRG and Interactive Cinema.

Straight up and the guys that did White Knight Chronicles (although not the best character designs), a few more RPG studios will balance out their current studio empire. Even Tri-Ace is really good. They could use some PS3 Technical Lovin though.
The GDC conference wasn't bad at all. I don't know what your all smoking. They showed their new input device! It looked pretty solid.
