...and was extremely impressed. Its dissapointing you don't get a concentrated, directed, story feel. Its hard to know why you are doign what you are doing without reading backstory and I missed the 1st game completely.
I hope the backstory in games, starts to become the MAIN STORY, because no one wants to start at ACTIII Chapter45 of an epic novel. Start from the beginning! Why is this so difficult for some people!

This is one masterpiece of a game. It oozes talent. Anyone that hasn't bought it, do yourself a favor and BUY IT. Its worth every penny.
The game NEVER really opens up.
It simply gives you a SINGLE chapter to hunt monsters on a large open plain. Then its back into teh linear dribble from the previous 20hrs.
Don't assume the best, because reviews say "it opens up at 20 hrs". OH sure it does, for 1 chapter in 1 area. (Ever wonder why you see the same videos of the Large Open Plains area?)

The Overall Game is an utter dissapointment. I gave square one chance after the Mishap that was FFX (good game, bad FF game). FFXII was alittle more Final Fantasy like, but the characters OH MY GOODNESS, the characters were so horrible I felt like throwing up. Some will argue the battle system was bad too, but I was "meh" about it. It was ok, guess i'd prefer the traditional, but not a game breaker.
