Like a 4K projector? Everyone I looked at was way out of my budget. Went with a 65" Samsung SUHD instead. Not cheap, but projectors were like $4,000+ from what I saw
DayZ is my only forray into that particular market. I do research first. If it looks good and is at a fair price them I'm in!
I hear ya there. It's my busy season at work so I'll probably wait on them. UC4 though... I might have to break out some day 1 cash for that one
So you've played them all thoroughly enough to pass such definitive judgement?
$84.99? Where do you live, Singapore? Because games are still $59.99 here unless I missed the memo...
"Best tps on the market." What an exclamation! What's the basis, may I ask? In my opinion, there's many, many others of which are better than gears.
I can see them "evolving" the franchise as much as treyarch did with call of duty.
Yeah I don't see gears 4 making much of an impact either. Gears One, the mysterious shooter with the cinematic trailer playing "Mad World," was a system seller. The sequels improved on it in certain aspects, but like halo, it's all "more of the same." They need a new ip if they want to sell systems. People that love gears already have an Xbone in all likelihood. A fourth installment won't bring in many others
They definitely have some healthy cash reserves from Wii 1, but 2 major failed consoles (Wii u and NX worst case scenario) can fall even the mightiest of companies. Their moneymakers are in handhelds and mobile. If the NX is just another "Me too!" Product, it will fail, and well most likely never see another Nintendo console again.
What's screwing them is their timing. This mid cycle crap is a turn off for me. Everyone "knows" when it's time for a...
Yeah probably 6 billion in revenue on the top. What falls to the bottom is much, much less than that. It's not a small lemonade stand...
This is the death gurgle of Nintendo. They're effectively going "all in" with this console if that is in fact true (half billion). I think this will be their last console. I see them going totally mobile and handheld. The DS and its successors are the true moneymakers for that company since the Wii's momentum petered out. Nowadays, the console landscape is dominated by the two major players. I personally cannot see myself buying another Nintendo console. Last I owned was the...
Agh! I was burned so bad by 13 that I'm apprehensive about 15. Now I'll probably buy it but I'll wait until the reviews start coming in. Now 13 wasn't bad per-se, but it was so linear that it turned me off and I ended up not completing it. I'm really hoping 15 is good. I'm ready for a true final fantasy again. 10 was the last one I really enjoyed
Might as well remove boobs too. Or have them wearing a habit. Maybe even a full body burka so we don't "offend" anyone
I bought a 55" Samsung 4K SUHD (8500 series) tv this past December, $1,800. Cheap ones are right around the $900 range and going down for 55" 4k's. They're coming. Mine is top of the line and was still sub $2k
Time for call of duty to evolve or finally die. Only gets worse every year.
I'd say it comes down to cost / benefit and limited cash flow in relation to port spend vs marketing spend. Maybe they could have made more by reallocating their resources to a port, but that would limit marketing exposure, of which was already minimal. Again, straight devils advocate here. But as a manager myself, people are by far the most valuable and expensive pieces of a business. And marketing is astronomical. And because their product is one of digital retail, their controllables a...
Easy to speculate as to the ease of porting, but if you're just an outside observer you're not giving them credit for the hard work in making the game to begin with. I'd imagine a cross console port is much harder than a simple copy / paste, despite the technical similarities. Not defending them, just food for thought from the other side of a coin
Wanna hear something crazy? Bought it first day it came out this past September, for full price too I might add. Haven't played it yet! I love horror games but I need a cool-off period in between them. I finished outlast (finally) and whistleblower after buying it and was then totally drained. I'm thinking of diving into it this weekend. I also still have rapture to start / finish, ether one and this war of mine, walking dead season 2 and among the sleep to get through. Just comes dow...
Ever talk to one of those "leet" kids? They think it's the most realistic thing ever. I got into a screaming match over that exact topic before - recoil, or the lack thereof - before finally just giving up on the 16 year old on the other end that never fired a weapon in the real world.
I really just hate call of duty in general.
I never got into gta online. Heists were cool once I got a hang of them but overall I've always found it boring
