The only thing the 360 can handle excellently is textures.
Everything else....not so much.
It is illegal to sell access to a Beta product. Those people should be fined lots and lots of money.
People have to learn, you know. The PS3 has a learning curve, and those who conquer it are showing what the PS3 is capable of.
*cough* GUERRILLA *cough*
Um, they have the extra year of PS3 dev time under their belts NOW (before making Fallout 3), and the experience they gained from Oblivion...you'd think that would have applied to the PS3 version of Fallout, but no.
I did own a 360 (not any more due to repeat hardware issues), and I have a PC as well.
It's just a shame that even with the extra YEAR of experience, they couldn't even keep the PS3 version on par this time around.
Very disappointing.
...
What the hell, Bethesda?
You make Oblivion better on PS3, and then you chop out water reflections and make shadowing and texture pop-in prevalent in the PS3 version of Fallout?
Seriously....come on! 1 step forward and 2 steps back, it looks like...
Overpriced and underselling?
Last I checked, it outsold its cheaper direct competition, the Xbox 360, in 2007 and soon to be 2008.
Hmm.
Spam much?
Pathetic.
2 years and they still don't know sh*t.
Do only half of them know how to dev for PS3, or what? What the hell?
lol 75%.
What the hell are they smoking?
I like that touchpad mode! Really cool.
No, it will not last.
Hey, who said I was giving away any awards?!
lol
That's a pretty sharp-lookin' game! Although they'll have to do something unique to differentiate themselves from Command & Conquer.
I believe Sony can fix everyone's gripes by adding one simple thing to all file-browsing on the PS3:
File Search.
Just type the name of what you're looking for, and bam! There it is. Press X to play.
That would cut down on a lot of scrolling, wouldn't it?
I guarantee you that 16:10 is the LEAST of Sony's concerns.
You know, the PS3 is a videogames console that is typically used on a TV, right?
It's your fault if you bought one of those cheap TV / monitors that have a 1440 X 900 resolution that really aren't worth a damn.
Either buy a 1280 X 720 DVI monitor and use an HDMI > DVI cable, or use a TV with a 16:9 resolution.
You do know that not everything on n4g is news right?
There's editorials, rants, articles, comparisons, tech reviews...
N4G is not just a place for "news", buddy. Get used to it.
Gee, I wonder?
I know, right? haha!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
Good score, but 5 months late :P
