Yeah, sometimes i've wondered if next gen was really even necessary, but i bet we'll see a massive increase in draw distance. I can't wait to play the next Elder Scrolls game, or some other open-world experience.
Yeah totally! It's pure speculation at this point. Everyone should just wait and see what it'll be instead. It's not like we'd die if we wait half a year, to see the actual first look of the consoles.

Certainly it has, and it's because Nintendo insisted on mass producing the XL edition of the 3DS which i feel - now that i've had it for months - is simply too big to be a proper handheld. Well i can easily play at home and bring it around to other rooms, but i would never have it in my pocket as i walk around town, and i would most DEFINITELY not play it on a bus/train. It's simply too big, and it makes it too similar to the Wii U GamePad which is also handheld to a certain exten...
Sad things about next-gen is that we are likely going to see more developers quitting because they don't have the budget to make proper titles for the system, and will therefore "die" from incompetence. It happened for a lot of japanese devs in this gen... well they didn't all quit but they definatly were noticably far behind the curve.

Look, they're trying to keep it familiar and they thought Pokémon didn't need to be techincally advanced. It doesn't have to, because what everyone wants is a game that plays similar to all the other main pokemon games.

yes a tailored experience is the right way to describe it, but the game wasn't "tailored based on how you play" as it put it. In the end i don't care because it was a great experience no matter what choices i made.
Illumiroom is a gimmick. 4K is the next generation of TV imaging.
If it has great online components it would be awesome to just have this be the Pokémon of the 3DS gen. I'm sure there will be some sort of X & Y 2 or something, but it would be great to have all players playing the same title.

I know making that huge Gamepad couldn't have been cheap, but seriously couldn't they have done just something to the hardware, like the CPU, to improve it over the other consoles, so it would at least impress gamers?
It sticks out as a sore thumb to people who know little about gaming hardware that the Wii U simply performs worse than XBOX or PS3 in most ports, and it doesn't make it very attractive.
Yeah. It's an app in itself now so it has to load it outside of the PS3 home screen. It's slow and it doesn't even look or feel better.
I recently played Arkham City where there is an option to go to the PSN store by pressing Triangle at the main menu. It took me to a part of the PSN store that had the good ol' blue skin with square boxes. It was nostalgic, and it made me realise how much i hate the new store.
I like motion controls like they were in SS, but puzzles became too dependant on gimmicks. I still prefer OoT or TP-style traditional joystick-and-buttons controls.
The thing that makes me like the 3DS better than the Vita, is that it doesn't try to offer big-screen gaming experiences on a smaller screen (like Uncharted 3 for PS3 to Golden Abyss on the Vita).
To me handheld gaming should offer games that feel different from typical console games. It's good that we have those titles as well like OoT 3D, RE: Revelations and such, but i always end up loving the simple games more. I wouldn't want to play Mass Effect 2 on my 4 inch tiny sc...
I hate how most people think, that fans hate the ME3 ending because it has deus ex machina. That's not the issue alone. (in fact, the deus ex machina was foreshadowed in the game earlier, so it shouldn't be called that) The issue is what this child says, because it simplifies the reapers' motive and unmystifies them in a cheap way, and it makes the narrative incoherent in the process as it tries to reveal the artistic message of the trilogy, but choosing the wrong theme.
I'm not into that type of RPG, but the music IS pretty darn amazing :)
