Hopefully Japanese game developers will start making more downloadable indie-type games :)
I like silent protagonists. In rpg's i prefer voice acted protagonists but i don't mind it in games like Dead Space and stuff.
I actually hate Isaac in Dead Space 2.
At least Bioware didn't blame us for not understanding ME3's ending. I'm starting to appreciate how they put it when people started complaining about that.
I loved how 1st person shooters back then were each different experiences, where as of today, all shooters are trying to copy one another.
I bought this game preplayed ealier this year, and even though i knew it was an old game it was such an amazing experience. I still have Echoes on my shelf, but i haven't played it yet.
In the holidays i'm gonna either play that or Dragon Age Origins.
Which one people?
Of course they will run at 30fps
After a year or two, developers will know the consoles enough so that they will try to push the envelope graphically, and then we're gonna end up with most games running at 30fps again.
I'm totally fine with it. Sometimes i even think it's annoying when my pc games run at 60fps, because you can see that some animations were meant to be played at a lower framerate.
It's not only the thing about choice that sucks about the endings. It's also the way the endings feel like they are trying to convey a message, but it's very... veeery incoherent.
Synthetics will destroy ALL org... wuuut. When was this established?
But the choice at the ending would've been wether you would sacrifice the entire human race to fix the problem, or kill the reapers and let the dark energy spread. It would have been bad too.
I think it's the autodialogue that killed ME3 for me. But i wouldn't say it's a bad game at all. Just not as good as i expected.
I hope Bioware goes more RPG with ME4.
I haven't played all those titles, but to me it's Mass Effect 3 right after The Walking Dead, but i am assuming that you play ME3 with an import from both ME1 and ME2 which makes it so much harder.
Crysis 3 is probably gonna be boring as hell like Crysis 2. Why can't they just make it like Crysis 1 again? To me, that game still looks more realistic, because Crysis 2 introduced this weird-ass ghost blur effect and some lightning effects that look too shiny, compared to real world lightning.
Wii U will do fine, but it just sucks to know that you'll have another 5-6-year cycle where you won't see a Zelda or Mario game that makes you go all "woah" because it's the most impressive game you've seen.
That's how i felt back in the day with OoT, and i don't think Nintendo will ever impress me in the same manner again, sadly.
My only problem about games like these are that they are going to be beat in the next generation, in terms of how it impresses visually and most importantly cinematically, and that's when we will realise how little replayability it has because it's only the gameplay that's left to impress.
Reminds me of how i actually liked the endings to an extent, before i heard the outrage, and started hating it too.
All i hope for it, is that it should play like a typical Zelda game, and not have touch gimmicks, that directly affect how you steer link around or anything.
But some clever touch or gyroscope puzzles here and there would be great :)
I agree but the show itself was so bad, and i just sat and cringed all the time. The stuff going on, on the stage - with the exception of awards and thank-you-speeches - have NOTHING to do with gaming.
Linkin' Park? It was already horrible to hear that song at the credits of the game. Tenacious D... what did the do to earn a place in videogaming this year? More importantly, what did Samuel Jackson do this year!? These people don't represent gaming in ANY. POSSIBLE. WAY!
...and Linkin' Park and Tenacious D. Are the VGA's really about games anymore?
It'll probably get it's ass kicked by the valvebox!
576i is running at 50Hz, so it runs slower than 480p
I don't understand why they make these shows where they tell us stuff we already know about. I can see how it is informative to non-gamers but what non-gamer would go online and say "hey i want to watch nintendo's Nintendo Direct so i can find out what i can get for my console" No. Those people wouldn't care enough to know this show was online.
I think the only ones interested in watching a Nintendo Direct are people like me, a gamer, with my Nintendo 3DS or Wii(...
I wasn't anywhere as near crying at #1 compared to #2, but that's a matter of personal experience and opinion of course.
I do wish they wouldn't have put ME3's ending on there, because their explanation is the exact opposite of how i felt during those scenes.
