Sorry to burst your bubble but the Kinect will never change gaming. Unless you mean by making game so casual that we all have nothing left to play but dance games.
Also your understanding of the Azure cloud is way off the mark. The Azure Cloud will never allow anywhere near 300'000 servers for the Xbox, its' for all of MS's product ranges and even partners who want to pay up for it. Windows 8 and their awful phone range will take a colossal bulk of it initially, t...
To be fair his songs probably aren't worth much more. Firstly he's not exactly a blockbuster but more importantly he doesn't actually do anything.
OMG he speaks words and can put a synth to a beat. Maybe when Rap actually manages to generate some musically interesting design it will be considered worth more than a few bucks, but to this day it's just as it started. Empty uninspired sound design that could have been put together by a 10 year old with a guy talk...
@smoothop
Except you're the one spouting bull. Why exactly is DirectX better? Sorry but if you had any idea what you are on about then I'd be genuinely interested to see why you would choose DirectX for performance that it is slacking in?
The only reason I can think of is you must really be behind MS on there every move.
Really? I won't try and fight your opinion but I do not look back on it fondly. Personally I found the characters boring and the story short and uninspired.
Not to mention since it was being marketed as a semi-rpg I really expected it to be the true beginning of the game but instead the credits rolled.
Good gunplay but that's all I could find to like about it after finishing the game.
We know, pointing it out is a little desperate though. Let the userbase judge whether it hit home or not then decide what approach to use next time. If your going for a comedy account anyway, which by the way they don't seem fond of at N4G. Mods will actually remove quotes if they contain offensive text despite being quoted from games, so yeah there's that.
All these disagrees simply prove that the Xbots have flooded N4G in a hope to defend MS and their practices, since anybody with even a fraction of intelligence wouldn't support such practices.
Thank you N4G for not limiting people from making multiple accounts, maybe one day you guys will figure out how to run this site while not provoking the flames yourselves.
Classy bunch us PS4 purhcasers? Sorry but have you ever even played on Live? Between the incessant racism and sexism combined with constant trash talk drivel from kids who haven't even been introduced to their first pube that happens over Live I have never felt so discouraged from a service.
XBL made me never want to play online again which lasted for about 5 years, I only recently signed in to PSN to try out GTA:O.
Honestly if you think PS4 is gonna have...
I actually wanted this game until I saw the trailer as I went to place the order. The game may look a bit better than the original but not much better than it being ran through dolphin.
If it was half the price then yeah, but there's no way I'm paying the full price for a game which took only 6 months to polish up a bit. This game costs £50 in the UK, which will net me a PS4 game at launch instead.
No offence but I enjoyed the experience. Sure there's plot holes, some I noticed and some I missed, but since I enjoyed the story I don't really want to watch a video which has the intention to tear as many holes in it as possible.
Personally I don't see the aim in trying to crap all over an experience that I remember fondly, which is what watching such a video would feel like.
Well I'm from the UK so I don't know how much help it will be to everyone, but the supermarkets near me are still taking launch day pre-orders. I'd have checked the site of one I saw taking an order just a couple days ago but the site is down right now. Ironically so is Shopto.net who may be worth a look despite the growing popularity.
Also some of the smaller electronics stores here are still taking orders.
EDIT: stock is definitely slimmer now t...
PS4 pre-orders are still available and for launch day in the right places. However you really need to see confirmation that your pre-ordering for launch day first.
I'm not sure if the situation changed since the announcement of extra stock but my local GAME store had ran out of launch day confirmed PS4's at one point, but that of course didn't stop them from taking preorders.
Online you shouldn't have any trouble tracking one down but going lo...
A good way of proving the importance to yourself as well is to pick one of your favorite gaming moments, go back and reload the scene, hit pause and drop the music level to 0.
Tried it once just messing around and it could be surprising how much tension and suspense it removes. Some games would probably be almost unplayable without a soundtrack due to boredom, for instance JRPG's.
@PowerVR
No offence but I'm guessing your fairly young since you're under the impression the average internet speed will be significantly better in a few years.
Most places only have internet that is 4x faster than it was over a decade ago. In fact very few places are even registered to be upgraded in the next few years in the UK alone, not to mention other countries.
In reality the average internet speed might be at a level that cou...
That gets me past the opening scene but still disconnects before I can start the activity. I don't get why I'm getting disconnected in a solo game
That's not a performance issue, it's a conscientious decision made to stick to what our eyes have come to consider normal in movies.
Many studios have dabbled in the idea of 60fps movies over the past few years but the main obstacle is the opinion of the masses.
You're spot on with the load times but personally I think there were some very nice looking launch games this gen too.
Dead or Alive 4 on 360 was the first game I played this gen and that looked pretty good, even played better than DoA5.
Same with PS3, both Uncharted and Heavenly Sword were within the EU launch window and both still look pretty damn good.
That's a mighty fine speech except you only covered one base. If you expect PC only gamers to stop moaning about console gamers then you also have to accept that console gamers need to quit getting on to PC gamers and claiming to have the more powerful setup.
In reality a bit of rational thinking and 5 minutes with Google would teach anybody why all of the options make a great choice, but this is N4G and I don't expect any level of maturity from the community or staff...
Actually a GTX will do that on all but a couple games and you can get one for around £200 in the right places now.
Also that's the most expensive component right there. A Sandybridge processor will also do the job while saving a bit of cash. Honestly you could build most of my setup without going anywhere near £1000. I only have 8Gb of RAM and I never have any issues with performance on max settings.
Cheap and powerful PC's are a reality but...
I wish they would have just pushed the release forward yesterday so that it released today instead. Not to kill my impatience but because they must have known once copies got into the wild it would reach the torrents in no time.
It's now inevitable that the ending and any spoiler worth holding on to will be leaked before the game even releases. But who can blame them.... I mean if I had a modded Xbox I would be downloading the file right now and still pick up my copy on M...
Because he's an idiot with more mouth than brains who always talks himself into stupid situations like this. I don't know why you guys even listen to him, he tried to pretend MGS5 was exclusive for crying out loud!
