Looks like a step forward in the right direction. Ultimately, it's a game with a great setting and cool features but it's far from the game I wish it was. That was a more deeper, lore-rich and diverse Action-RPG kind of game.

Well they didnt market it properly imo. I hardly knew it came out.
The guys who make Ori, Moon studios I think is owned by Microsoft too, though I could be wrong. Either way they are an excellent dev too.
I'm mostly a Nintendo and PS guy and Ori is a brilliant game. probably my favourite XO game to date.
I also love metroidvanias and it's up there with Guaccamelee for my favourite metroidvania in the last decade (Hollow Knight is up there too)

You're right in that it is cringy but I think that's the entire point. Snake himself is a caricature of a Kurt Russell character from an over-the-top 80's action film.
It's like watching anime or a disney movie. no one talks like characters in a Disney movie lol.
As for the stories, yes they can be a bit convoluted, but I think Kojima does it in a very Kojima way haha. It's weird, it's like... when you watch a Tim Burton film and ...
Hmmm perhaps. But the reception for Ratchet and Clank, Shadow of the Collossus, Crash, Spyro even Yakuza Kiwami speak for itself
The worry is valid but from a software side, I think Horizon, God of War, a possible spiderman 2 and ND are good enough I think to carry the hardware
there is no such thing as a perfect game so 10 = perfect is impossible which means having a 10 is useless
I take 10 to mean "best in its class."
botw, the last of us, witcher 3, odyssey, gta v, bioshock, rdr2 etc alllll have flaws. but they're all 10s
