This article wasn't talking about Nitnendo I.P.s at all. It reiterated how Nintendo tries to keep things original. It was talking about how industry has become saturated by people constantly making the same "type of game" not I.P.s.
People just look at the "intentionally" misleading headline and don't even bother to check the details as always.

Most of us are looking at this rationally, however.
All circumstances point to sales ramping up when games being to release on the Wii U. Nothing more is needed. Just a steady stream of good games and good games alone will fix 90%+ of the problems with the Wii U's marketshare.
