It has nothing to do with being cheapness. If they pay more we will have to pay more.
On top of that, it would make the console large, heavier, and more energy consuming.
As I said before. The only people who make an issue out of the storage options are people who didn't really like Nintendo to begin with.
What is the bases of this old argument being brought up by this site anyway? The 25gb optical drives have yet reach a limit the last I...
I'm talking about the console, not the drive.
Flash draws less energy and produces less heat inside the console. It also allows the console to be manufactured at a smaller size.
That has never been an issue though. Someone would have said something buy now with the way devs were hamerring the flaws they saw.
No dev as ever expressed problems with the memory or storage capacity. This why I say its people making a mountain out of a mole hill.
The only people i've ever seen make compalints about the drive storage setup are gaming journalist, who always look for something negative to write about Nintendo for hits, and people who had ...
I like how Nintendo is doing storage.
I already have an external harddrive and large external flash drives. I can use though without having to pay the extra for the console.
Thanks to the no hard drive, it draws less power and produces less heat. This article is another case of people making and issue out of something that's not really an issue for the majority of people.
It is unnecessary, as they gave it hard drive support.
How long will it last(life time) though?
The game only shipped 30,000 copies. The gaming media is pushing a misleading headline.
Even if every copy sold day 1, it wouldn't have reached the top of the chart.
Though, didn't the wonderful 101 only ship like 30,000 copies? I was sure that was said before.
This site just lists its relative position, not the number of copies it sold which is intentionally misleading. The game was never expected to be a smash hit.
Also, Madworld made a profit in the end and Bayonetta 2 is going to be million seller worldwide guaranteed. Its one of the few games that people actually want that have been announced for the Wii U.
This is a launch game, or at least it start development before launch.
Bayonetta 2 craps on everything on the PS3/360 especially Bayonnetta 1.
The Wii U has GPGPU and DX11 equivalent capabilities.
Nothing more needs to be said.
@voodoochildnyc. That makes no logical sense. THe Wii U is the strongest console out on the market right now.
There is nothing else for it to be compared but what is out. PS4 games will uncountably be compared to PS3 games. I guess that will show its fate.
Yep, they are opening them right behind Nintendo. I find it funny that Sony is the only one who gets praised for supporting indie devs though.
I thought it has already taken off? The Wii U has 2 of them that I know of.
The tech in the Wii U was physically impossible 6 years ago...
The Wii U has DX11 level features in it and DX11 didn't even exist when the PS3/360 came out. Heck DX10 didn't even exist.
A;so, DDR3 was not readily available, nor was the technology to make the Wii U gamepad.
Then take all that into account with the fact that the Wii U is only drawing 1/6th the power and outperforming the PS3 and 360.
None of that was po...
@Silly gameAr, he is just poiting out that in most caes that is the case.
I don't see Xbox or PC fanboys trolling every positive Wii U article and tyring to promote Sony hardware in the comments sections no matter what the article is about.
My Wii U is ready.
Having a game controller as a universal remote is, but we are only talking about Sony and Microsoft here, so I will let you get back to that.
So you have to pay for something you've bourght already? I saw people bashing Nintendo for this on the Wii U but Sony gets praised?
The hypocrisy is through the roof today.
Nintendo release old I.P.s? Bash
Sony release old I.Ps? Praise
Nintendo recharges at discount for titles you bought on the Wii eshop? Bash
Sony recharges you at discount for titles you bought on the PS3? Praise.
Yeah, I read this in pretty much the same way. Consistent as in brought nothing new to the table other than more number boasting.
The consoles will be released in less than a year of being announced. That has never happened before.
Sony and Microsoft are rushing their consoles out to keep Nintendo from gaining to much of a marketshare advantage in the next-gen market.
This will cost them in the long run.
