On my 4th ps2 but that messed up too. DVD's still play on it though.

A ps3 for bluray? I can get you a bluray player for $89. I can get you a Bluray burner 4X for $250. A BDlive premium stand alone for $199. PS3's are no longer "bargains" for bluray. Unless you want "gaming AND bluray" then yeah you get a ps3.
I agree. The "dev tools" that Sony offered for the PS3 were inconsistent and engines had to be "remade", just ask Naughty Dog. Sony is to blame hopefully they will get it right next time and offer better tools for their platform.
John Carmack claimed that 360 was the superior console in every way except for disc space. I don't get your point.
God of War 3 visuals look weak. They looked weak when I saw them live. I'm expecting some improvement from now till it ships. I also expect the "GoW" team to offer something new in gameplay and overall concept of game not just visuals, the series needs it.
Word of wisdom, don't hype this game. It will hopefully deliver on all fronts, just let it be.
I don't think charging for clothing,etc in Home for avatars is a big deal. Home is quite different than the NXE. Heck, I would buy clothes for my avatar on the xbox. I would love to see some unique clothes I can put on my avatar and show off, just let the price be reasonable. Personally, I think it is actually a smart move considering the free service you get with PS3.
PS. Notice how I didn't need to bash either console.
Last time I checked Sony is charging for premium themes @ roughly the same price as Microsoft.
I agree. Bungie has essentially made xbox live what it is today, started in the original xbox. The video feature available now for halo 3 was available way back in the beta(with Crackdown), and worked flawlessly!

Looked great, looking forward to brutal legend. Funny though, how in all the epic trailers, the one that stood out the most for me was the "terminator" game trailer. That game looked awesome.
I'll have to disagree... It deserved a lot of credit even GOTY. The game was more mature this time around(a plus for me), has some incredible graphics and replay value especially online. It's not perfect but not far from great either.
Wow, the hate on Gears posts. Incredible. Getting the maps if I'm still awake by then...I have played Gold Rush and Fuel Station...Awesome maps.

It could or could not be free, they're great maps nonetheless. As for free...Halo has been charging for maps and then making them free after a certain time since Halo 2 on the original xbox, and so has Gears.

3 maps total, including a remade 1 from Gears PC called "Gold Rush". Another named "Fuel Station", inspired by a map mod by the same name. And last one looked to be the best, totally original with emulsion filling the map as you fight/shoot whatever. 3 very promising maps. Hopefully it will be free, or maybe not.
Won't happen next gen, you can quote me on that. SSD's still "write" slower than traditional hard drives...chew on that for a bit. They are too new plus they are still super expensive.
