I don’t understand the difference between buying a publisher and making its games exclusives as oppose to buying multiple developers and making their games exclusives? Am I the only be who doesn’t see the difference….. why is one evil and the other isn’t when it’s common practice

We’ll it seems both systems are a little light in exclusives at the moment. But both have promising exclusives coming just patience. Most likely has to do with COVID affecting development.
PlayStation fanboys are bipolar as hell when the ps5 sells good they say finally the chip shortage is being handled and supply is being replenished but when it’s not oh the chip shortage is still happening. Make up your mind which one is it. The switch outsells the PlayStation simply because of the games and it’s a great console. Mario,Zelda etc so many great games to play. It outsells it simply because people like it better it’s as simple as that.

What’s the difference? If even with activision they are still not the number one publisher in the world. Isn’t it more anticompetitive to pay for final fantasy exclusivity i and basically kill the in japan. Bwhere it struggles to get Jrpgs? They all do it buy publishers since the beginning of the industry. So what’s the problem if anyone else does it they are praised but if Microsoft does it they are called anti competitive.
Yeah but that is just to get the deal through everyone knows this what’s to say they don’t make a spin off of call of duty and make it exclusive just to test the waters that’s how it starts. I’m sure the mainline call of duty games will remain multiplatform but they should be scared. They might tilt the balance with special content for Xbox. Sony will be fine. They might take a hit from this as far as market share but they will be fine.
Yeah definitely they are shitting their pants Sony about the activision deal as they should be that’s the biggest deal in gaming history and the biggest franchise potentially going exclusive in the future. Game pass is a big deal probably the biggest thing in consoles for quite a while. They need to follow suit instead of being scared

I agree nothing in this day and age is as big as call of duty except maybe Mario and gta but they don’t come out as consistently and are as accepted in every age group as call of duty is.

Why sega no one should buy them they suck they have a couple good games but it’s not a good buy for either Sony or Microsoft. Capcom onthe other hand is a game changer for either of them.
But not surprised they sold off the western studios. It probably would have been too expensive for Sony to buy them all. Especially with the jungle acquisition they are probably not that loaded in money/
You do realize Microsoft is a trillion dollar company. They are fully invested in Xbox and their recent acquisitions speak to that so they will be fine especially with activision and all the studios they acquired recently. That will pay dividends eventually just takes time and they seem to be patient.

Damm i just realized that n4g audience is mostly made up of PlayStation fans. When a game joins Xbox game pass the article has people bashing it saying how they will lose money and it will degrade games on Xbox. But anything related to PlayStation plus is mostly positive and it’s the same people praising it it’s like a bunch of hypocrites in n4g.
