Are people not smart enough to realize as each generation comes games take longer to make. Microsoft’s problem is revealing their games too early when they are still a few years off. They will be fine they have an abundance of games coming out in the next couple of years almost too many.
But it makes sense they obviously have ambitions to be the biggest player in gaming and currently they are not I believe that is what they mean by becoming a major player.

When companies buy studios no matter how small or big they are and exclude them from a group of people but when it happens to them they want whine. The majority of console are pretty dry as far as games go everyone is in stand by mode waiting for games to come out. People need to realize how much COVID affected development and be patient we all went through this pandemic and saw what it caused. Give it a year or two to accurately say how these consoles are doing. And the switch does count that is the number one console on the world fact.
Or maybe they just actually have a good relationship with Microsoft do people ever read articles. In the article it states microst has been very supportive with development and has even let them use their technology so they are willing to collaborate with them because of it.
Are you going to play a game forever? Most likely not so is there a need to own a game when it will just collect dust at some point in time. I would rather pay $15 to $25 a month and play so many more games.

Consoles are not like cell phones people do not associate cost with quality. History has shown that does not pertain to the gaming industry. If consoles are priced too high history has shown it’s detrimental to its sales. We’ll see.

Before people say they are buggy I have never encountered a bug or any game breaking bugs while playing Skyrim or fallout. So not everyone encounters issues. They honestly make some of the most memorable games in the industry just the scope and the vision they are amazing.

They were some of the most memorable games I’ve ever played especially Skyrim. People just like to jump on the bandwagon. I think people take the price of games for granted when you have things like Xbox game pass and the equivalents for so much cheaper a month then a retail game which the highest is a ps5 game at $70 and people literally complaint. That’s when you know you have a problem and we are dealing with kids or people who have no jobs and don’t know the value of money. Being able to play any game even ones I never would have is amazing value.
