Couldn’t agree more game pass is an amazing service it’s almost a steal. I couldn’t imagine going back to traditional discs. To be able to try any game to see if I like them is pretty awesome.
But people can’t see past the console wars to appreciate what Microsoft is doing.

But I can see that happening with game pass and all the games that are coming to it. As well as Xbox getting some high profile games. The fact that it’s managing to keep up with PlayStation considering how many games PlayStation has is impressive. They should be way ahead. This is definitely not the Xbox one and ps4 era again.
Just get game pass problem solved and whatever the equivalent to PlayStation is.
@crimson I agree it might not be for anymore. I enjoyed lost odyssey so much but nothing has really called my attention anymore since then. after playing so many that just weren’t to my liking i kind of gave up on the genre. I just feel the genre is stagnant compared to other genres .
I never played the persona series I’ll probably check it ou this month since it’s releasing for game pass. See if it changes my mind.
I didn’t even know they could do that. Makes sense though that way they wouldn’t have to pay the 3 billion fee to activision past the deadline.
I think they and everyone else are confident it will go through with concessions. There is no case to begin with the ftc know that this is all a farce.
It’s because those games sucked. Jrpgs in general is an outdated genre. Too much fodder just for an increase in game length. I think the last good Jrpg I played was lost odyssey but even that game had to much fodder. The music and character development saved it for me.
Japanese developers need to condense their games more make them shorter but raise the quality. I couldn’t even finish final fantasy 13. If they want to appeal to more people outside of Japan that’s what they need...
Fully agree it’s like you can’t talk any sense to these people here it really makes me wonder what the median age around here is. They can’t comprehend what MS is doing all companies in the gaming industry have done. They are just doing it quicker. But yeah sometimes you have to just walk away from these guys no sense in talking sense to unreasonable people.
I wouldn’t care it’s not going to affect me which is why I’m wondering why people care so much. I’m still going to have a house and a job and friends and family so I won’t care what big corporations do.
Are they scared prices are going up certain companies are already doing it.!so what else could be the problem be yeah this will make them big. But if anything it will make Sony and Nintendo be more competitive especially Sony. So I only see this as being good.
@godmars and shinoff i thought it was obvious Microsoft is doing bad they clearly want to be number one and they have been relegated to third place sometimes fourth. We all know this which is why these purchases are occurring. I didn’t think the obvious had to be stated.
They clearly have a first party problem they are trying to rectify it. Which is why I personally think it’s good. Even if it is a shortcut to the top that’s business.

There are other mergers currently happening that need to be looked at that will cause a monopoly this isn’t one of them. Sony will be fine they are just scared that they will actually finally have competition. It’s how business works.
I agree it does need more first party games. Game pass has a lot of games already as is but just like Netflix it needs a constant stream of new games to keep people engaged.
It needs to diversify its portfolio as well I think games like high on life are a great start. Look how popular it is. They need to keep games like that coming that are “different”. I hope they achieve it because game pass really is revolutionary and such a great value for consumers.
