did they underestimate the amount of people that would be in this beta? This is THE game people have been waiting for. This game is even bringing staunch 360 owners over to the PS3. I'm a little worried about this now. I'm sure the beta will be filled with crashes, mishaps, and various other bugs. Yes it's a beta but if they're underestimating the amount of people interested than just think of what else will go wrong.

was 399.99 really the magic price point? You look at the 360 library and all the "AAA" games it has, the much heralded XBL, and yet here's PS3-a more expensive system that has yet to release its best games-is outselling it. MS must be pulling their hair out.
This coming Holiday season PS3 will have its bigs out, God of War III will be on the horizon, and I predict the 399 sku goes down to 349.

at the thought of getting in on that GTA money. The game will be huge. I heard the guys on 3 red light talking about multi-player and am now even more excited for the game.
Retailers don't like digital distribution getting so much of the market. Look how well Warhawk did. So Sony gave them a 2 day head start over it's own PSN. Fair compromise imo. Most of us don't get paid till the end of the week anyway.
and 360, I'd get the 360 version. That's just me though. I buy games that are on one particular system historically for that system. Same with God of War. I would never buy it on 360. GTA, the choice is simple. It's a Sony game. I'm sure it'll play just fine on 360 but I think it'd feel really awkward reaching for the GTA case to play and seeing it in green with that Xbox logo on it. Just my opinion though.
but the PS3 has a very low failure rate. Again, it happens but it's a product that this sort of thing doesn't happen to often. GO ahead and survey other PS3 owners and you'll see that you're apart of a small minority. Good luck to you in the future.

We're like the only medium that holds back because a kid could possibly get a hold of an adult game. Not to say that the Mature rated games have to go away. Imagine the AO directors cut version of GTA being available and the Mature version being out there as well. I know which one I'd get.
or at least a good number of podcasts and from what I've heard from EA's representatives gone are the days when they would be like the borg. They pretty much let the devs do their thing and provide better tools than they otherwise would've had. I don't think they'll change GTA. I do think, however, that they're going to launch their own console.

If your PS3 is working fine why tinker with it? Let 360 owners do these sort of "towel trick" like things. I'm not going to mess with my PS3 when it's functioning just fine.
last week I saw elites in Bestbuy for the first time in weeks. Can't wait to see what the May numbers are because that's the month GTA IV will show which system benefited.
Last GTA I beat all the way through was Vice City. San Andreas came when I was in College and really had little time to complete missions. I'd just go in and get my stars up and mess around. I got pretty far but after awhile I had done all the typical GTA type missions I could take.
Achievements: not that big to me. Most PS3 only owners could care less about achievements. If it's that serious that you buy a game to get achievements than more power to you.
Control: What? Does the game not function well with the PS3 controller? I never heard this before. Does the fact that the 360 controller needs batteries mean it provides better rumble?
